First All-Fan Token™ World Cup Final Confirmed as $ARG and $SPAIN Prices Soar

For the first time in World Cup history, the final will be contested by two nations with official Fan Tokens™, as Argentina ($ARG) prepare to face Spain ($SPAIN) on Sunday, July 19.
Argentina versus Spain will be the second time in less than two months that one of football’s showpiece finals has featured Fan Tokens™ on both sides.
On May 30, Paris Saint-Germain ($PSG) and Arsenal ($AFC) contested the Champions League final in Budapest. PSG retained the European title after a 1-1 draw, winning 4-3 on penalties, in a match that brought two of the most established club Fan Token™ communities onto the same stage.
Now, the same landmark is being reached at international level.
Road to the World Cup Final
Spain booked their place in the final with a 2-0 semi-final victory over France, before defending champions Argentina completed a dramatic late comeback to beat England 2-1 in Atlanta thanks to a dose of Messi magic.
Spain initially grabbed headlines for all the wrong reasons in their 0-0 opening group match against Cape Verde, but followed up with six wins out of six, knocking out Austria, Portugal and Belgium before dealing with France in the semis.

Argentina won all of their games en route to the final, but made it difficult for themselves by leaving it late in consecutive 3-2 wins over Cape Verde and then Egypt.
Spain’s wins triggered six token burns for the Spain Fan Token™ ($SPAIN), and 4.39M tokens have been burned during the World Cup so far as part of Chiliz’ Burn to Glory campaign.
The final brings together the two highest-ranked teams in international football. Argentina are attempting to become the first nation since Brazil in 1962 to successfully defend the trophy, while Spain are chasing their second world title following their triumph in 2010.
There will also be unprecedented stakes for Fan Token™ holders. Both teams have already triggered a series of token burns through the Burn to Glory campaign during the tournament, and a massive 10% token burn is on the line in the final.
$SPAIN and $ARG Fan Token Price Pops
When the final whistle blew in the Argentina vs England match, the valuation of the Argentine Football Association Fan Token™ ($ARG) erupted into life.
Climbing from a 24-hour low of $0.127, the token climbed by an incredible 157% en route to a price-point of $0.327.

The spike was fuelled by an influx of over $23M in $ARG trade volume – a high not witnessed since 2022 (the last time Argentina reached, and won, a World Cup final).
Exemplifying the interlinked nature of sports tokens and football narratives, Argentina’s win over England had an immediate effect on the price of the Spain Fan Token™ ($SPAIN).
The token price climbed from $0.525 to $0.936, marking 24-hour gains of 78%, without the token’s associated team kicking a ball.

The $SPAIN token’s trade volume climbed from around $900,000 to over $5M – the highest in the token’s history following its official launch in June 2026.
