Which Fan Token™ Nations Have Qualified for the Last 32?

We are days away from the completion of the World Cup group stage, and several countries with Fan Tokens™ have already secured their place in the round-of-32.
The expanded format of the 2026 tournament means the top two teams from all twelve groups progress, as well as eight of the best third-place finishers.
With the final group-stage matches taking place this weekend, let’s take a look at who’s qualified, who’s on the cusp, and who needs a small miracle.
Argentina ($ARG): Favourites to Retain the Title?
Five goals in two games from Lionel Messi secured Argentina’s passage to the round-of-32 with a game to spare, shooting Messi to the top of the all-time World Cup goalscoring charts in the process.
Argentina and France, the 2022 finalists, are the only pre-tournament favourites to win all of their matches so far, with the likes of Spain, England, Brazil, and Portugal dropping points.
So far, 26,718 Argentina Fan Tokens™ ($ARG) have been burned from treasury holdings due to the wins, the latter of which caused the value of $ARG to gain 12.4%. Another 13,159 will burn if the holders beat already-eliminated Jordan on Sunday.
As things stand, Argentina will play Uruguay next, although that may change depending on results this weekend: theoretically, all four teams in Group H (Spain, Uruguay, Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia) still have a chance of qualifying for the next stage.
South Africa ($SAFA): Into WC Knockouts for the First Time
Group A underdogs South Africa are going to the knockout round of the World Cup for the first time, after snatching a 1-0 win over South Korea in their last group match.
That unexpected win saw Bafana Bafana finish second behind Mexico on four points, and resulted in a 1% treasury burn for the South Africa Fan Token™ ($SAFA).
As of Friday morning, $SAFA’s value had climbed 37.8% in the preceding 24 hours, with trade volumes also jumping to $340k from less than $100k yesterday.

South Africa will face Group B runners up Canada in the first round-of-32 clash this Sunday (June 28). On the face of it, it’s a winnable tie and could spark another 1% token burn of $SAFA.
Portugal ($POR): Ronaldo On a Mission
Portugal secured progression by thrashing Uzbekistan 5-0 in their last match, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring two. The question is, can they defeat Colombia on Sunday to finish top?
Portugal’s dominant win over Uzbekistan triggered a burn of 69,656 Portugal Fan Tokens™ ($POR) from treasury holdings, and another 68,959 could vanish if they defeat Colombia in Miami. It won’t be easy: Colombia have looked formidable in beating DR Congo and Uzbekistan.

With Messi on five goals, and Mbappé, Haaland and Vinícius all on four, Ronaldo will be desperate to add to his tally to get in contention for the Golden Boot.
As things stand, Portugal will play Ghana in the round-of-32 although there’s a possibility of facing Croatia if they can see off Colombia. $POR has jumped 4.8% in the last 24 hours.
Spain ($SPAIN): Clicking Into Gear
European champions Spain got off to a dismal start after being held to a goalless draw by minnows Cape Verde, though they made up for it by destroying Saudi Arabia 4-0 last time out, triggering a burn of 253,594 $SPAIN tokens.
Currently top of Group H, the question now is whether Spain finish first, second, or even third. If they were to lose to Uruguay, and Cape Verde beat Saudi Arabia, La Roja would progress as a third-place team.
Beating Uruguay, therefore, is the only way Spain can guarantee they top the group. As it stands, they will face Austria in the next round. Interestingly, the $SPAIN token is up 26.4% over the last 24 hours.

Belgium ($BELG) and Scotland ($SFA): In the Danger Zone
Neither Belgium, ranked tenth by FIFA, nor Scotland, ranked 41st, have yet qualified for the round-of-32. Both retain a chance of progress, although in Scotland’s case it’s out of their hands.
Belgium, who have drawn against Egypt and Iran so far, must beat New Zealand on Saturday to guarantee qualification.
Scotland are currently languishing in the last possible qualification spot, sitting 8th of 12 third-placed teams following defeats to Morocco and Brazil. Statistically, their prospects of reaching the World Cup knockouts for the first time are just 5.26%.
Nations with Fan Tokens™ will see 2% of their treasury reserves burned if they win their round-of-32 match.
