Napoli Return to Winning Ways as $NAP Swings From Rally to Reversal

Napoli ended their three-match losing run against Bologna, but the Napoli Fan Token® ($NAP) experienced a dramatic reversal after initially gaining almost 26%.
Napoli finally returned to winning ways on Sunday as they grabbed their first win in three games against Bologna, but the effect of the win on the Napoli Fan Token® ($NAP) was anything but predictable.
In the space of just over an hour on Monday, Sept. 14, the $NAP valuation climbed 25.8%, before undergoing a dramatic reversal which saw its valuation drop 35.1% within the same 60-minute period.
At the same time, the token’s daily trade volume climbed from $200,000 to over $1.2M, marking an increase of 500%.
The sharp rise and subsequent rapid reversal indicate heightened activity around $NAP, but do not reveal whether traders were responding to Napoli’s weekend result, taking short-term profits, or reacting to wider market conditions.
What Happened to the $NAP Price?
At around 10:40am (UTC+1) on Monday morning, the Napoli Fan Token® ($NAP) held a valuation of $0.251… Half an hour later, the token’s spot price had jumped to $0.316, marking 25.8% growth in around thirty minutes.

The token’s gains didn’t last long, however. The price subsequently fell by more than 35% from its peak, dropping to approximately $0.205 by time of writing.
The result was a classic market whipsaw: a rapid move in one direction followed by an equally sharp reversal.
The latest activity also extends an unusually volatile period for $NAP. Following Napoli’s Champions League defeat to Arsenal, the token climbed 18.5% from $0.199 to $0.236 while trading volume increased from approximately $250,000 to more than $2.2M.

Did Napoli’s Victory Cause the $NAP Swing?
The timing of the surge following Napoli’s weekend win doesn’t necessarily prove that the victory caused either the rally or the subsequent decline.
Football results can attract attention to a club’s Fan Token, particularly when a team is attempting to end a losing run.
The 500% rise in trade volume points to fresh interest in the token, and the reversal may have involved traders selling after the initial surge, buyers entering and exiting quickly, exchange-specific activity or movements across the wider crypto market.

How Did Napoli End Their Losing Run?
Napoli beat Bologna 1-0 at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona through Stanislav Lobotka’s 66th-minute goal.
The result ended a difficult sequence that included Serie A defeats against Como and Inter Milan, followed by a 1-0 Champions League loss to Arsenal.
Napoli secured the victory despite missing Scott McTominay, André-Frank Zambo Anguissa and goalkeeper Alex Meret. Kevin De Bruyne also left the pitch late in the match, although coach Massimiliano Allegri said the midfielder was only suffering from cramp.
Allegri described the performance as one Napoli had won with the “anger” missing from their previous matches. The victory moved the club onto six points from four league games.
