How $INTER v $NAP and $JUV v $ACM Played Out On-Chain

This past weekend saw not one but two Fan Token® face-offs in Serie A, as Inter hosted Napoli on Saturday (Sept. 5) and Juventus welcomed AC Milan a day later.
Digital assets aside, these are some of the biggest games in Italian football, with sporting pride and league placings on the line. So, how did intrepid SportFi traders respond to the showdowns? Let’s take a closer look.
How $INTER Survived Scare to Top Serie A
In front of a raucous home crowd, defending Serie A champions Inter Milan overturned a 2-0 deficit to defeat Napoli thanks to an injury-time winner from Lautaro Martínez.
Napoli, who finished runners-up last season, had stunned Inter with two goals in three minutes early in the second half. But Inter showed mettle and quality to fight back, in the process maintaining an unbeaten home record that stretches back nearly two years.
On the trading front, the Inter Milan Fan Token® ($INTER) made a modest 0.67% gain over the course of Saturday. However, trading volume rose from $115k to $153k (+33%).
For Napoli, the defeat was a bruising one, both in terms of their league placing and their token’s performance: the price of $NAP fell from $0.199 on Saturday afternoon to $0.193 by Sunday morning (-3%).
Inter have won all three league matches so far, scoring eight and conceding just three. They are joint-top of the table with AS Roma, who have a superior goal difference. Napoli lie 13th after one win and two defeats.

Both clubs have midweek Champions League games to look forward to. While Inter face a daunting trip to the Spanish capital to face Real Madrid (and ex-manager José Mourinho) on Tuesday night, Napoli host Arsenal on Wednesday.
$JUV and $ACM Still Unbeaten After Draw
A day after the Inter-Napoli thriller, Juventus welcomed AC Milan to the Allianz Stadium and, like Inter, maintained their unbeaten start to the season.
Against the run of play, Juventus’ stingy defence was undone by a composed Alphadjo Cisse finish in the 68th minute, but substitute Federico Gatti saved the day with a stoppage-time header to equalise for the Old Lady.
The result means the two clubs are tied for fourth place with an identical points tally and goal difference.
In the markets, the Juventus Fan Token® ($JUV) made most of its running in the lead-up to the game, its price rising from $0.312 on Sept. 4 to $0.320 shortly before kickoff (+2.5%). However, it had fallen to $0.315 by Monday morning.

It was a similar story for the AC Milan Fan Token® ($ACM) which climbed from $0.277 on Sept. 3 to $0.289 on Sept. 6 (4.3%), before falling to $0.284 by early on Monday. Trading volumes for both tokens have consistently been above $650k in recent days, with $ACM peaking at $898k on game day.
Both clubs now have a week to prepare for their next games: AC Milan travel to the capital to play sixth-placed Lazio on Saturday (Sept. 12) while Juventus are away to tenth-placed Sassuolo the following day. Both Juventus and AC Milan commence their Europa League campaigns next week.
