From First Win to Chelsea Triumph: What Next for $SPURS?

Tottenham have followed their first league win with a rare victory at Stamford Bridge. Can a changing mood on the pitch bring renewed interest in their Fan Token®?
Tottenham Hotspur have recorded back-to-back Premier League wins after beating Chelsea 2–0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, October 24, extending their recovery under Roberto De Zerbi.
A Mike Penders own goal and a late Mathys Tel strike secured only Tottenham’s second victory at the ground in 34 years. Following the 3–1 win over Coventry on October 19, Spurs have taken seven points from their past three league matches.
For a team that began the campaign with six games without a win, that represents a welcome change. Whether the Tottenham Hotspur Fan Token® ($SPURS) can find momentum of its own remains another question.
Has $SPURS Responded to the Turnaround?
The football recovery has not yet been matched by an equivalent sustained rise in the value of the Tottenham Hotspur Fan Token® ($SPURS).
The token’s spot price fell 3.5% in the past 24 hours, but has since recorded a 2.3% rebound in the past few hours on Oct. 27.

The $SPURS daily trade volume rose ten-fold throughout the week in the lead up to the Chelsea match, suggesting traders anticipated the game amounting to a trading event, or at least, a big occasion.

Why Spurs vs Chelsea was Important
And it was a big occasion. This game is usually a certainty for Chelsea. So much so that this was only the second time in the last 36 that Tottenham Hotspur have beaten Chelsea in the English Premier League.
The two clubs are based in London; Arsenal occupy the North end of the English capital, while Chelsea occupy the West end of the city. The clubs’ rivalry is one of the most heated in England, which stretches back over 60 years, when the clubs contested the 1967 FA Cup Final — which Spurs won, by the way.

Although nothing was on the line on Saturday (except respect), the win by Tottenham could represent a bigger achievement than the ‘67 cup win.
What Has Changed Under De Zerbi?
De Zerbi’s post-match assessment focused on the players’ attitude and relationships as much as their football. He praised the performances of Fernandes, Tel and Archie Gray, while pointing to an honest team meeting before the draw at Manchester United as part of the improvement.
“We must show personality. We must show mentality,” he said in his post-match press conference.
Fernandes offered a similar explanation. The midfielder credited the squad’s training camp in Marbella, held after the October 10 draw at Old Trafford, with strengthening relationships between players and staff.
“Now we’re playing as a team. I think this is the change point for everybody,” he told the club’s website.
What’s Next for Spurs?
Spurs host Crystal Palace on Saturday, October 31, with kick-off scheduled for 5.30pm GMT.
De Zerbi has acknowledged that two victories do not settle anything. They have, however, given his side the chance to build a winning run rather than keep searching for its first result.
A third successive league win would give the talk of a changing mentality more substance—and supporters another reason to believe the difficult start is behind them.
