Could a First Win of the Season Kickstart $SPURS?

Tottenham’s search for three points continues against Coventry. Could a breakthrough also bring renewed interest in the club’s Fan Token®?
Tottenham Hotspur have the chance to record their first win of the season tonight (Oct. 19) against newly-promoted Coventry.
Spurs are currently rock-bottom of the English Premier League, having only managed to record three draws and three losses so far.
With Coventry sitting 16th in the table, the match presents a great chance for new manager Roberto De Zerbi to grab his first win of the season, and perhaps, in the process, wake up the Tottenham Hotspur Fan Token® ($SPURS).
The token is regularly among the top 20 SportFi assets by market cap depending on market conditions, but has seemed somewhat dormant in recent months.
Could a win against Coventry change that?
$SPURS Price Analysis
The Tottenham Hotspur Fan Token® ($SPURS) is currently priced at $0.045, and has stayed between the range of $0.05 and $0.044 for the past month.

Trade volume for $SPURS has ebbed and flowed since the new Premier League season commenced. Daily average volume has been as low as five figures in recent months, or as high as $1.85 million, recorded back in August.
The general trend, however, has been downwards. In early October, trade volume spiked as high as $220,000, but has since returned to the mid-five figures range.

The $SPURS token can currently be traded on the Gate, OKX, and Paribu exchanges.
Given the scary end to last season, where Tottenham came within a game of relegation from the Premier League, perhaps it’s no surprise that traders appear to have turned their nose up at the $SPURS token.
That might change if Tottenham turns its fortunes around on the field, and they might have no better chance than tonight to make that happen.
De Zerbi’s Tottenham Hotspur: Brief Context
New Tottenham Hotspur manager De Zerbi arrived on March 31, replacing Igor Tudor with seven league games remaining. His immediate task was to preserve Tottenham’s Premier League status, which was secured at the last minute with a final-day victory over Everton and a 17th-place finish.
The hype around De Zerbi was understandable. De Zerbi’s possession-based, attacking approach helped Brighton qualify for Europe for the first time, while his Marseille side finished second in Ligue 1 in 2024/25
His first full season at Tottenham offers the opportunity to develop that approach further, although the opening results have provided little comfort.
Tottenham’s most recent outing offered some evidence of resilience. Despite falling behind and having Rodrigo Bentancur sent off at Manchester United, Spurs recovered through a stoppage-time Dominic Solanke header to earn a 1-1 draw on October 10.
Can Win vs Coventry Wake Up $SPURS?
There is precedent for increased activity around club developments. In July, FanTokens.com reported a 68.4% intraday rise in the $SPURS spot price during Tottenham’s summer recruitment drive. The token subsequently surrendered part of those gains, illustrating how quickly an initial burst of enthusiasm can fade.

While Tottenham are a considerably larger and richer club than Coventry, those riches have counted for very little in recent times.
Tottenham are still considered favourites to overcome Frank Lampard’s newly-promoted side tonight, but they will face a plucky Coventry who are on a two-game winning run, and with a point still to prove.
