Three Matches and 17 Goals: Fan Token® Teams Lead UCL Table

After matchday two in the Champions League, three Fan Token® teams occupy the top spots following a week of absolute goal-fests.
PSG, Barcelona and Aston Villa have made themselves at home at the top of the Champions League table, after a week that opposing goalkeepers might prefer to forget.
Paris Saint-Germain ($PSG), Barcelona ($BAR) and Aston Villa ($AVL) occupy the top three places in the UEFA Champions League after Matchday 2, following three games that produced 17 goals.
The trio scored 14 of those themselves, with PSG beating Manchester City 4-2, Barça overcoming Galatasaray 4-1 and Villa putting six past Fenerbahçe without reply.
Let’s take a closer look at how those matches played out.
Fan Token® Positions After UCL Matchday 2
Seen below, the current Champions League title holders, PSG, occupy top spot, equal on points with Barcelona and Aston Villa, and equal on goal difference, but ahead on goals scored.
Last season’s Champions League runners up Arsenal ($AFC) also have six points after two matches, but find themselves occupying seventh place owing to lower goal difference.
Bookmakers consider Barcelona slight favourites to win the competition this year, just ahead of PSG, for whom a third consecutive Champions League title may be perceived as a bridge too far.
Last year’s Europa League winners, Aston Villa, aren’t necessarily expected to add another Champions League title to their trophy cabinet (they won Europe’s top honour in 1981/82), but could prove to be a dark horse. After all, they made the quarter-finals of the competition in 2024/25, which was their first appearance in the competition in over 40 years.
Now, for the goals.
Manchester City 2-4 Paris Saint-Germain
PSG came into this game on the back of a 12-match unbeaten run in the Champions League, while Man City held an air of invincibility about them after winning six from six in the English Premier League.
So what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object? Well, Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé and Vitinha scored three goals inside 32 minutes to take PSG into an early lead, then Erling Haaland struck twice after the break, either side of Maghnes Akliouche’s fourth for Paris, but the visitors held on for a 4-2 win.
Already hailed as one of the matches of the year, the result wasn’t enough to move the Fan Token® market. Both the Paris Saint-Germain Fan Token® ($PSG) and the Manchester City Fan Token® ($CITY) fell alongside Bitcoin on Oct. 15.

PSG’s upcoming Champions League clash against Barcelona might reveal more about the Parisians’ prospects of making it three in a row.
Aston Villa 6-0 Fenerbahce
Villa recorded their first home win of the season in style against Fenerbahce, as the Villans put six past the Turkish side.
Johan Manzambi opened the scoring for Villa, before Nicolas Jackson added two, and midfielder Ross Barkley popped up with a brace of his own.
Tammy Abraham completed the 6-0 scoreline late on, taking Villa to nine goals across their opening two Champions League games.
The current Europa League holders laid down a marker which declared they didn’t plan on being Champions League pushovers this season, even if they had a stuttering start to their domestic campaign.
Villa finished in the Champions League spots in last year’s Premier League season, despite failing to win in their first six games. That’s why the Aston Villa Fan Token® ($AVL) is ranked among those that could ‘wake up’ this year, if Villa continue to rack up the wins.

Galatasaray 1-4 Barcelona
Fellow Fan Token® club Galatasaray briefly threatened to spoil Barcelona’s perfect start when Alexey Batrakov put the hosts ahead early on, before João Cancelo grabbed an equaliser before half-time.
Fermín López, Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi completed the turnaround, in a match dictated by the mercurial Lamine Yamal, who registered two assists and grabbed the headlines despite not scoring.
