$SPURS Climbs 25% as Tottenham Target Barcelona World Cup Winner
The $SPURS Fan Token surged to the tune of 25% on Thursday, July 30, after rumours broke regarding Tottenham’s potential transfer move for the man that scored the winning goal in the World Cup final.
Tottenham are reportedly targeting Barcelona and Spain’s Ferran Torres after the club’s initial transfer target, Eli Junior Kroupi, had to go under the knife for a fractured metatarsal injury at Bournemouth.
With fellow Fan TokenⓇ club, and consecutive Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain, also circling Torres, bringing the player to north London might not be straightforward. Yet the prospect of the talented forward playing for Tottenham next season was enough to fuel double-digit gains for $SPURS on Thursday.

$SPURS Climbs 25% on Torres News
The Tottenham Hotspur Fan Token ($SPURS) started climbing immediately after the Ferran Torres transfer rumours broke in the early hours of the morning.
From a low of $0.094, the valuation of the $SPURS token surged to $0.118 over the next few hours, and had recorded 25% growth by time of writing.
The surge returns the $SPURS valuation to a monthly high after going on a downtrend throughout much of the summer as attention turned to the World Cup.
Now, the World Cup is making itself felt again as one of the tournament’s biggest stars becomes the centre of a potential London vs Paris bidding war.
Why Tottenham Hotspur Want Torres Now
Initially reported by Football365, Tottenham’s supposed pursuit of Ferran Torres comes after the club’s first target, Eli Junior Kroupi, was forced to undergo surgery for a fractured metatarsal.

Under the management of Roberto De Zerbi, Tottenham have already made big-money moves for Jan Paul van Hecke, Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali, this summer. The spending spree doesn’t look like ending any time soon, as Tottenham look to improve upon last season’s flirtation with relegation.
Torres has just one year remaining on his contract at Barcelona. The former Manchester City and Valencia player has no shortage of options when it comes to where he plays his football this season. PSG have been interested in Torres for a long time, and were thought to be favourites to secure his signature, assuming he doesn’t extend his stay at Barcelona.
