How Sevilla Fan TokenⓇ ($SEVILLA) Climbed 59.1% After Resolving Fair Play Restrictions

Although the La Liga season doesn’t resume until August 15, the Fan TokenⓇ of one particular Spanish club has been making plenty of noise lately: Sevilla.
Late last week, the value of $SEVILLA climbed 59.1% in one day and the catalyst appeared to be the club’s resolution of fair play restrictions that had prevented it from recruiting ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Let’s take a look at the on-chain data to see how traders turned transfer dealings into sentiment fuel.
Why $SEVILLA Rocketed After Adams Sale
Sevilla’s recent sale of Nigerian striker Akor Adams to Serie A club Venezia didn’t just see them pocket 17M euros (the total figure may eventually reach 23M), it resolved fair play restrictions and enabled the club to get key personnel in the door. And this appears to be the catalyst for $SEVILLA’s momentum.
Priced at $0.049 last Thursday, July 23, when the Adams deal was confirmed, the Sevilla FC Fan Token ($SEVILLA) began a steep rise, reaching $0.078 by the following evening (+59.1%).
Rather than crash after such a swift climb, the token actually maintained its upward momentum and reached $.082 by yesterday (July 28), meaning five-day gains stood at 67.3%.

Although $SEVILLA has lost steam in the last 24 hours (–27.1%), 24hr trade volumes have surpassed $1M, up from less than $50k before the rally began. Weekly gains are still a healthy 15.2%.
How is Sevilla’s Season Shaping Up?
Seven-time Europa League winners Sevilla had a disappointing campaign last season, finishing well outside the European spots in 13th, just a point above the relegation zone. Their prospects for the upcoming season depend on how they strengthen in the coming weeks.
Reports suggest Newcastle United are interested in the club’s versatile 23-year-old defender Joaquin Martinez Gauna, aka Oso, although the Adams sale may mean Sevilla don’t ‘need’ to sell. Oso’s contract with the club runs through 2027, although there is a 20M euro release clause.
Speaking of hotshot Spanish defenders, Sevilla yesterday announced the acquisition of 21-year-old Julio Díaz on a five-year contract after striking a deal with Atlético Madrid. Both Oso and Díaz play at left-back.
The Andalusian club must now focus on replacing departing strikers Adams and Alexis Sánchez, and may also have to compensate for the expected loss of Switzerland winger Rubén Vargas, who the club are apparently willing to sell for 20M euros.
On the Fan TokenⓇ front, expect $SEVILLA sentiment to reflect traders’ perceptions of just how strong the club appears to be ahead of La Liga’s lift-off in mid-August.
