De Bruyne Commits to Belgium as $BELG Extends Weekly Rebound

The Belgium Fan Token® notched up weekly gains as Kevin De Bruyne commits to helping lead the national team into the Mark van Bommel era.
Kevin De Bruyne has confirmed that he intends to continue representing Belgium, providing continuity at the start of a new managerial era for the Red Devils.
The announcement arrives as the Belgium Fan Token® ($BELG) shows signs of recovery ahead of Friday’s UEFA Nations League match against Italy.
Belgium will now hope their most experienced remaining player can help new head coach Mark van Bommel turn a period of considerable change into a positive Nations League campaign.
How Has $BELG Moved This Week?
The Belgium Fan Token® fell as low as $0.072 before recovering to approximately $0.078, an increase of 8.3% from its weekly trough.

At the time of writing, $BELG is trading towards the upper end of its 24-hour range of approximately $0.0759 to $0.0788. It is also around 11% above the all-time low of $0.0703 recorded on Sept. 16.
This is a measured recovery rather than the kind of sudden breakout $BELG produced following Van Bommel’s appointment.
The token climbed 130% within four hours on July 26, moving from $0.149 to $0.344 before subsequently surrendering much of that gain.

What Does De Bruyne Give Mark van Bommel?
De Bruyne offers elite experience, creativity and an established link between Belgium’s past and its newly emerging squad under Mark van Bommel.
Van Bommel was appointed in July on a two-year contract running through the 2028 European Championship. He replaced Rudi Garcia despite Belgium reaching the World Cup quarter-finals, where they were eliminated by eventual champions Spain.
The former Netherlands captain is already familiar with Belgian football, having guided Royal Antwerp to a league and cup double. He has declared his intention to build a disciplined and ambitious Belgium side capable of competing with the world’s leading national teams.
Can Belgium’s New Era Support a $BELG Recovery?
Strong results could bring renewed attention to $BELG, but as always, its direction will also ultimately depend on wider market conditions, liquidity and trader sentiment.
Belgium’s World Cup run demonstrated how major international fixtures can place the token in focus. Victories over New Zealand, Senegal and the United States resulted in 869,890 $BELG being permanently removed from treasury reserves through the tournament’s Burn to Glory campaign.
Those World Cup token burns were specific to that competition and should not be assumed for Nations League victories. Nevertheless, they contributed to making $BELG one of the summer’s more closely watched international Fan Tokens.

De Bruyne has now committed himself to the next stage of Belgium’s transition. The first football test arrives against Italy on Friday; the market test is whether $BELG can hold its 8.3% recovery as the new van Bommel era moves from the training ground to competitive action.
