Can Away European Wins Boost $CITY, $AFC and $NAP in UCL Matchday 4?

Tonight, a clutch of Fan Token® clubs hit the road in the fourth matchday of this season’s Champions League, with English champions Arsenal, plus Manchester City and Napoli, chasing vital wins.
Let’s look ahead to the showdowns, and assess the prospects of away victories boosting the trio’s official digital assets.
Will Arsenal Beat Slavia Prague and Propel $AFC?
Premier League winners Arsenal face Slavia Prague in the Czech capital looking to preserve their undefeated record in this season’s competition (2W, 1D).
Despite their impressive form, Arsenal are actually outside the top-eight which guarantees automatic qualification, sitting between Bayern Munich (8th) and Stuttgart (10th). Tonight’s opponents are 32nd having drawn one and lost two of their opening three.

Naturally, Arsenal are big favourites to take all three points at the Fortuna Arena on Wednesday evening. But having recently lost to Fleetwood Town in the English League Cup, the Gunners aren’t infallible. And Slavia Prague will take heart from their 2-2 draw with Fenerbahçe in Istanbul last time out.
The value of the Arsenal Fan Token® ($AFC) has climbed 5% in the past five days, a period that saw them leapfrog Manchester City at the top of the Premier League. With kickoff eight hours away at the time of writing, trade volumes stand at $200k – although they hit $405k on Sunday, the day they beat Liverpool 1-0.

Given Arsenal’s status as favourites, an away win won’t necessarily cause a ripple in the token stakes. A shock defeat, on the other hand, could jeopardize their chances of gaining automatic qualification and dent market optimism.

Could $CITY Climb Into Top 8 with RB Leipzig Win?
Like Arsenal, Manchester City are sitting outside of the automatic qualification spots in 12th having won two and lost one of their first three games. Tonight, they face an RB Leipzig side sitting 28th (1W, 2L).
On paper, City face a tougher task than Arsenal. After all, they’re coming off a lacklustre 1-0 home defeat to Brighton and Leipzig are on a three-game winning streak. The Germans also won their previous UCL home game, edging out PSV 1-0 on Oct. 13.
The Manchester City Fan Token® ($CITY) lost 2.9% of its value after Mareca’s men lost to Brighton at the weekend, and it’s down 8.7% over the last seven days. Some would say a recovery is due, and a resounding away win over RB Leipzig could deliver it.

Perhaps the best case scenario for $CITY backers is a big win in Germany, coupled with a defeat for Arsenal. While both clubs are on their own paths, City jumping into the top-eight while Arsenal remain in the playoff zone could have a psychological effect.
Is Porto the Perfect Opponent for Napoli ($NAP)?
Napoli enter their fourth UCL game of the season in a playoff spot, but only just. Having won just one of their first three games against two defeats, they sit above 25th-placed Sabah FK on goal difference. The margin? A solitary goal.
Encouragingly for the Italians, their opponents tonight have fared even worse, losing three consecutive games and sitting second-bottom. However, underestimating Porto could be a mistake: they’ve won 10 out of 10 in this season’s Primeira Liga.

The Napoli Fan Token® ($NAP) is currently valued at $0.17, its value having dropped 12.6% since Oct. 29. Since then, their domestic struggle has continued as they fell to a 2-0 defeat to Juventus in Turin (Nov. 1). Could a positive result against Porto galvanize on-chain sentiment ahead of a showdown with Serie A leaders Lazio this Sunday (Nov. 8)? Stranger things have happened.
