How $AFC and $CITY Moved After Arsenal Overtook City at Premier League Summit

The official Arsenal and Manchester City Fan Tokens reacted to the weekend’s Premier League fixtures, as the Gunners knocked City off pole position.
It was another fascinating weekend in the Premier League, as Arsenal took full advantage of Manchester City’s shock defeat to Brighton to jump into the top spot.
Although we’re still in the early stages of the season, City and Arsenal are expected to vie for the title, just as they did last year. So, how did the clubs’ Fan Token® digital assets react to the latest games?
Market Reaction as City Lose and Arsenal Win
On Saturday (Oct. 31), Manchester City hosted Brighton & Hove Albion for the second time in four days after edging past the Seagulls in the League Cup Last 16. They weren’t so lucky the second time round, as Brighton earned a 1-0 win at the Etihad.
It was a result that condemned City to consecutive Premier League defeats, following their 2-1 loss to Aston Villa the previous weekend. And while Enzo Maresca’s men remained top of the league on goal difference, Arsenal had the opportunity to seize the initiative against Liverpool on Sunday.

The Gunners managed to score an early goal and repel constant waves of attack at Anfield, their 1-0 victory sending them three points clear at the Premier League summit.
Valued at $0.273 on the morning of the Brighton game, the Manchester City Fan Token® ($CITY) had fallen to $0.265 by Sunday evening, a drop of 2.9%. After rallying to regain 1.5% in the early hours of Monday morning, $CITY fell again and is currently trading at $0.262, down 3.1% over the last 24 hours.
As for the Arsenal Fan Token® ($AFC), it climbed from $0.118 on Friday to $0.127 on Saturday afternoon, marking a rise of 7.6%. During this time, trade volumes also rose from $178k to 349k (+96%).

At this stage, Arsenal had yet to play Liverpool but traders were clearly bullish after City’s defeat. Even if the Gunners were to gain a point at Anfield the next day, they would rise above their rivals in the table.
Interestingly, the value of $AFC didn’t climb higher even after they saw off Liverpool to go three points clear of City, with the spot price topping out at $0.126 on Sunday night.
What’s Next for City and Arsenal?
There are likely to be plenty more twists and turns in the title race before the end of 2026, which could feed into Fan Token® sentiment.
Arsenal next face Slavia Prague away in the UCL midweek (Nov. 4) before hosting Hull City (Nov. 7) and travelling to Newcastle United (Nov. 21). There’s another UCL match at home to Borussia Dortmund (Nov. 24) before the Gunners welcome City to the Etihad (Nov. 29).
As for City, their next two games are away – to RB Leipzig (Nov. 4) and Nottingham Forest (Nov. 7) – before they host Fulham (Nov. 21) and Napoli (Nov. 24).
Could the clash with Arsenal at the end of November offer an indication of where the Premier League trophy is headed this season?
