There were goals galore for Fan Token® clubs involved in Champions League competition this week, where just nine matches produced an average of 4.4 goals per game.
Between those nine matches, the ten teams involved recorded seven wins, two draws and just one defeat. Barcelona drew the short straw: their opponents were fellow Fan Token® heavyweights and current consecutive Champions League title holders, PSG.
So, with nets being busted all over Europe on Tuesday and Wednesday, where were the most goals to be found on Champions League matchday 3?

As you can see below, three matches supplied six goals a piece, and three matches supplied four each. Just one game featured a single goal.

Standout Matches
In Napoli vs Bodø/Glimt, Matteo Politano scored inside the opening minute, but the Norwegian visitors twice equalised before Scott McTominay’s second goal restored Napoli’s lead.
An own goal gave the Italians breathing room to make it 4-2, although a stoppage-time reply ensured the final minutes remained uncomfortable. Seven goals, three points, and undoubtedly a few elevated heart rates in Naples.

In Paris, Paris Saint-Germain ($PSG) overcame Barcelona ($BAR) 4–2 after the visitors twice hauled themselves level. Désiré Doué and Lucas Hernández each put the hosts ahead, only for Xavi Espart and Lamine Yamal to respond.
Vitinha and Fabián Ruiz eventually settled matters, extending PSG’s unbeaten Champions League run to 13 games and ending Barcelona’s perfect start to the season. According to Opta, the teams mustered 40 shots between them.

Manchester City ($CITY) matched that six-goal total with a 5–1 win over AEK Athens. Phil Foden claimed a hat-trick, while Elliot Anderson and Rayan Cherki also scored as City recovered from their defeat to PSG a week earlier. With Erling Haaland unused, it was a useful reminder that City’s goals can come from many directions.
Villa Keep Pace
Aston Villa ($AVL) continued their own impressive European start, beating Viking 3–1 to make it three wins from three.
Ross Barkley’s header and Emiliano Buendía’s penalty established a first-half advantage before Henrik Heggheim turned Alysson’s cross into his own net. Peter Christiansen’s late consolation prevented Villa from finishing the night above PSG in the Champions League standings.
Both clubs have nine points and a goal difference of plus nine, but PSG’s 14 goals put them ahead of Villa’s 12.
After last week’s six-goal demolition of Fenerbahçe, Unai Emery’s side are giving their supporters plenty of reasons to tune in on European nights, and reason to be bullish on $AVL.

Elsewhere, Arsenal ($AFC) needed a late Declan Rice equaliser to secure a 2–2 draw at Bayern Munich, preserving their unbeaten start. Inter ($INTER), meanwhile, contributed the most economical victory, overcoming Alessandro Bastoni’s dismissal to beat Shakhtar Donetsk 1–0 through Carlos Augusto.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray ($GAL) recovered from successive defeats to win 4–2 at Lille.
The Turkish side surrendered an early lead and trailed 2–1 before turning the match around, with Victor Osimhen completing the scoring. It was an important response after their 4–1 defeat to Barcelona the previous week.

Roma ($ASR) also found their first win of the league phase, dispatching Slovan Bratislava 4–0 – their first UCL win at the Stadio Olimpico since 2019. While Atlético Madrid ($ATM) completed the nine-match collection with a 1–1 draw at Stuttgart.
Five of the ten clubs scored at least four goals, showing how widely the attacking contributions were spread. City led the way with five, followed by PSG, Napoli, Roma and Galatasaray on four apiece. The two clean sheets belonged to Roma and Inter, whose evenings offered rather different routes to three points.
The next round brings another meeting between Fan Token® clubs when Barcelona host Villa on Nov. 3. Villa will arrive unbeaten, while Barcelona have an immediate opportunity to respond to the PSG defeat.
The reigning champions have already tested both City and Barça; now Villa get their chance to measure themselves against the Catalans.
After 40 goals across these nine games, there should be no shortage of interested neutrals.
