Why Has the Everton FC Fan Token™ ($EFC) Jumped 29.4% in One Week?

The Everton FC Fan Token™ ($EFC) is one of the best-performing SportFi assets over the past week, its value having jumped 29.4% in that period per Socios.com.
With just a few games left of the 25/26 Premier League season, and Everton sitting firmly mid-table, the token’s recent performance may raise some eyebrows.
So, why is it on the move?
Is Battle for Europe Driving $EFC Sentiment?
Like many other clubs, Everton are still battling to secure a coveted European spot for next season and that may go some way towards explaining its rising value.
Over the last seven days, the value of the Everton FC Fan Token™ ($EFC) has rocketed from $0.078 to $0.101, marking impressive gains of 29.4%.

One week ago, the Merseyside club were coming off a thrilling 3-3 draw with Manchester City, earning a result that dented the latter’s title prospects (and helped pump Arsenal’s Fan Token™ $AFC) and snapping a two-game losing streak for David Moyes’ side.
In the wake of that result, it’s perhaps understandable that $EFC sentiment started to climb, with trade volumes blowing past $300k post-match.
However, Sunday’s 2-2 stalemate with Crystal Palace ($CPFC) actually jeopardised Everton’s European ambitions, as they must now rely on teams above them dropping points if they are to qualify.

Due to Aston Villa’s run to this year’s Europa League final, and Crystal Palace’s run to the Conference League final, there is actually a scenario in which the Premier League could have nine European places next season: six in the UCL, two in the Europa League, and one in the Conference League.
For tenth-placed Everton, who could theoretically rise as high as sixth by winning their next two against Sunderland (H) and Tottenham Hotspur (A) and results elsewhere going their way, that scenario offers some hope.
What Happens Next?
Another reason for traders’ apparent faith in Everton, as reflected by the rising value of $EFC, could be their prospects of winning these two matches.
While Sunderland are winless in four, Spurs are hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone having struggled for form all season.
With that said, Everton have themselves won just one of their last six and have failed to maintain their lead in two successive games. After the Palace stalemate, Moyes commented that “Good sides have to do the business at this time of the season,” adding “we have to try and do that better.”
Whether $EFC can go higher probably depends on players heeding Moyes’ words in their upcoming fixtures.
