Which Fan Tokens Could React to the Europa and Conference League RO16?

A number of Fan Token clubs return to European competition tonight, among them Aston Villa, Bologna, Porto, and Roma.
With the first leg of the UCL last-16 done and dusted, attention now turns to Europe’s second- and third-tier competitions, and a number of tasty fixtures present the possibility of sharp price movements for the assets in question.
Let’s look ahead to tonight’s games and identify areas of trader interest.
Bologna ($BFC) vs AS Roma ($ASR)
An all-Italian showdown gets underway in the Emilia-Romagna region tonight, as home side Bologna take on AS Roma. Last season’s Coppa Italia winners Bologna are currently eighth in Serie A while Roma lie fifth. However, the points differential between the teams is a 12-point gulf.
On the Fan Token front, Bologna ($BFC) is currently valued at $0.118 while Roma ($ASR) is priced at $1.36 per Socios.com, making it the seventh highest-ranking Fan Token by market cap.
Price data for the $ASR token is more readily available due to its high trading volume, and the token’s value has increased 3.3% in the last 24 hours, while it’s also up 2.4% over the past week. Trade volume is strong pre-match, rising to $2.9m from sub-$1m earlier today.

This is a game that could go either way, with both teams coming off defeats to relegation-threatened opponents at the weekend. With Bologna having only lost once to Roma across their last six meetings, the home team may be slight favourites.

Lille vs Aston Villa ($AVL)
Lille, who are sixth in Ligue 1, welcome Aston Villa to the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in a rematch of their thrilling 2024 duel, which saw Villa win on penalties after a 3-3 two-leg draw.
Having finished second in the 36-team league phase, Villa are many people’s bet for the Europa League crown, not least since manager Unai Emery is a four-time winner. But form has dipped of late: the Midlands club have won one of their last seven games.
The Aston Villa Fan Token ($AVL) has mostly tracked sideways over the last fortnight, with volumes modest, although an away win in Europe could lead to bullish sentiment ahead of next week’s second leg.
Villa also face Manchester United, with whom they are tied for third place in the Premier League, this Sunday (Mar. 15).
Stuttgart vs Porto ($PORTO)
Stuttgart, who are fourth in the Bundesliga, welcome Porto to the MHPArena having secured advancement to the last-16 via the playoffs. Porto, though, will be hoping to make it back-to-back European defeats for the Germans, who lost 1-0 at home in the second leg against Celtic.
The FC Porto Fan Token ($PORTO) is on an upward trajectory, its value having risen 5.5% in the last 24 hours and 9.6% over the past week, a period that saw the team draw 2-2 in the O Clássico at Benfica. Porto also sit at the summit of the Primeira Liga.
Could a win over Stuttgart help the momentum continue?

Crystal Palace ($CPFC) vs AEK Larnaca
Last season’s FA Cup winners Crystal Palace have had an inconsistent season and look set to lose influential manager Oliver Glasner this summer. Tonight, they host Cypriot club AEK Larnaca, who finished above the London club in the Conference League group stage – and beat them at Selhurst Park back in October.
Palace come into the game after a 3-1 win at Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League and will look to lay down a marker ahead of the second leg. The Crystal Palace Fan Token ($CPFC) has had a choppy week and dropped 1.7% over the last 24 hours. Might a strong performance and result cause its value to rise?
Samsunspor ($SAM) vs Rayo Vallecano
Turkish side Samsunspor are in the Conference League R016 for the first time, and welcome Spanish side Rayo Vallecano to the Samsun 19 Mayis Stadyumu tonight.
The Samsunspor Fan Token ($SAM) has climbed 6.1% over the past 3 days, perhaps a reflection of confidence given the team’s 5-0 thrashing of Macedonian outfit Shkendija in the previous round. Rayo Vallecano will provide a sterner test, however: they’re unbeaten in their last five La Liga games.
