Which Fan Tokens Could Move in Matchweek 2 of the Europa League?

On Thursday night (Oct. 15), a full schedule of Europa League fixtures will take place across the continent, and with several games involving Fan Token® clubs, it’s not just the table that could move; it’s the SportFi market.
So, which matches could stir some serious trading action?
Will AC Milan Spark $ACM with Away Win in Salzburg?
AC Milan vs Red Bull Salzburg is one of the biggest games kicking off on Matchweek 2, and with away wins in Europe particularly prized, it’s possible a victory would feed into sentiment around the AC Milan Fan Token® ($ACM).
With kickoff in Lisbon 34 hours away at the time of writing, $ACM is priced at $0.27, having declined in value by 2.8% over the last seven days. A period that included a 1-1 draw with Sassuolo that left the Rossoneri fifth in Serie A.

AC Milan were beaten 2-0 at home by Benfica in their first Europa League game, so they badly need to get their campaign up and running against Salzburg, who beat Levski Sofia 1-0 away last time.
Salzburg are unbeaten in eight games in the Austrian Bundesliga while AC are unbeaten in six in Italy. Something’s gotta give. The uncertainty about the outcome could conceivably lead to rising trade volumes and an $ACM price bounce if Milan gets the win.

Could Juventus Stay Top of Table and Boost $JUV?
Juventus are currently top of the Europa League table, having annihilated Dutch side NEC Nijmegen (NEC) 5-0 last month. Now they travel to Celta Vigo, who lost 1-0 to Omonia Nicosia in their last European game.
Given Celta Vigo have won just one of eight in La Liga this season, Juventus may be favoured to prevail. That said, Juve have won only one of their last four in Serie A and the Galician side reached the quarterfinals in this competition last season.
The Juventus Fan Token® ($JUV) has fallen 2.4% in the last week although trade volumes have started rising ahead of kickoff, from $713k on Oct. 12 to $855k on Oct. 14. After Celta Vigo, Juventus have a crunch game against second-placed Lazio this Sunday (Oct. 18).

Which Other Tokens Could Climb On Matchday 2?
$ACM and $JUV are by far the biggest tokens that might move: both sit in the top 15 Fan Tokens by market cap, with $JUV 10th (market cap: $5.3M) and ACM 13th (3.9M). However, other clubs with digital assets are also in action.
In France, Premier League side Crystal Palace ($CPFC) face an Olympique Lyonnaise who defeated Anderlecht 2-1 last time. In Lisbon, Benfica ($BENFICA) seek to build on their win over Milan when hosting struggling Celtic. While Real Sociedad ($RSO) are plotting a first win in the competition against Union Saint-Gilloise in Brussels.
Rounding out the Fan Token® fixtures, Beşiktaş ($BJK) travel to Hoffenheim having destroyed Marseille (another club currently launching a digital asset in partnership with Socios) in their previous European game.
The Fan Tokens of these clubs are low-cap assets, meaning there are fewer active buyers and sellers in the order book. Indeed, it’s often hard to track the market data despite them being tradable 24/7 on many top exchanges. Nevertheless, they are just as subject to event-based drivers as larger tokens.
With four Fan Token® clubs currently in the automatic qualification spots (Juventus, Crystal Palace, Beşiktaş and Benfica) and others seeking their first win, it could be a fascinating night on the pitch and at the trading terminals.
