Livestream Trading Battles Set for World Cup Semifinals!
After livestream trading battles for Spain vs Portugal, Spain vs Belgium, and Argentina vs Switzerland, Chiliz is once again joining forces with Vibe.trading and Battle Trade for the World Cup semifinals.
Four traders are back in the mix for Spain vs France (July 14) and Argentina vs England (July 15), with the battles getting underway an hour after kick-off and broadcast live on X and YouTube.
Both semifinal matches kick-off at 21:00 CEST, with the livestream trading battles broadcasting from 22:00 CEST. There will also be another trading battle on July 19 if one or both Fan Token™ nations make it to the final.
Who Dares Wins
In the last battle, for Argentina’s quarterfinal win over Switzerland, Doug Hype, AndySlaps, dub, and Sam Steffanina faced off, with Doug Hype eventually taking the win after generating the best PnL.
Dub had triumphed in the $SPAIN v $BELG battle, while AndySlaps claimed the bragging rights after the inaugural contest for $SPAIN v $POR.

European champions Spain and World Cup holders Argentina are the last two Fan Token™ nations still in the contest, and if they can overcome France and England respectively, they’ll set up a mouthwatering final.
Not only would it be the first time a World Cup final had been contested by the defending champions and European rulers, but it would be the first major international final contested by Fan Token™ countries.
If Spain and/or Argentina win, 7.5% of their token reserves will be burned, reducing their total supply. So far in the tournament, Spain’s five victories have caused 2,745,845 $SPAIN to burn, while Argentina’s 100% win record has burned 160,090 $ARG.
Although traders will be hoping for a Spain vs Argentina final, prediction market data suggests France and England are the favourites to progress.
