Corinthians Fan Token ($SCCP) Jumps 8.3% as Club Win Brazil Super Cup

Flamengo may have completed the double by winning the Copa Libertadores and Brazilian Serie A, but it was Corinthians who sprung the upset in the Brazilian Super Cup on Sunday (Feb. 1), goals either side of half-time securing a shock 2-0 victory.
Naturally, the upset was reflected in the markets as the SC Corinthians Fan Token ($SCCP) jumped 8.3% in just two days.
Corinthians ($SCCP) Pops 8.3% After Flamengo Win
Corinthians’ win at the Mané Garrincha Stadium in Brasília delivered the São Paulo club’s second Brazilian Super Cup, as Flamengo, the tournament’s most successful team, failed to extend their record.
One of the game’s key moments happened at the start of the second-half, when a retrospective VAR review saw referee Rafael Rodrigo Klein show a red card to Flamengo midfielder Jorge Carrascal for an earlier infraction.
Despite the presence of Lucas Paquetá, recently signed from West Ham in a £36.5m deal, Flamengo failed to muster a comeback as Yuri Alberto’s second-half strike sealed the win for Corinthians.
On the Fan Token front, the value of the SC Corinthians Fan Token ($SCCP) rose from $.0323 on the eve of the match to a peak of $.0350 in its aftermath, a gain of 8.3% between Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.

Interestingly, the value of $SCCP had actually fallen 5.8% between Jan. 29 and Jan. 31. As such, the subsequent spike may have been an indication of traders feeling the token was undervalued, irrespective of their prospects of winning the cup final.
The Corinthians Fan Token has had a strong start to 2026, its value having risen by 13.3% since January 1. This in spite of the club having lost their opening Serie A match 2-1 to Bahia. Over the same period, the Flamengo Fan Token ($MENGO) is down 14.2%, though it rose 32.8% between Jan. 1 and Jan. 17.
The Brazilian Super Cup is contested between the champions of the Brazilian Serie A and the winners of the Brazilian Cup, the country’s equivalent of the FA Cup.
It wasn’t just the Corinthians men’s team impressing on the pitch in recent days. The women’s team also put on a strong showing against Arsenal in the inaugural edition of the Women’s Champions Cup. In a dramatic finale in front of over 25,000 at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, Corinthians scored a 96th-minute penalty to level the game at 2-2, before the Gunners got the winner in the 104th minute.
In beating Corinthians, Arsenal collected a $2.3 million (£1.68 million) payout, the largest financial prize in women’s club football history.
