Argentine Football Association Fan Token Climbs 25% in Week

The Argentine Football Association Fan Token ($ARG) climbed 25% in value in the past week, days away from Argentina’s next friendly match against Angola.

The Argentine men’s national team has already qualified for next summer’s World Cup, leaving the run-up to the tournament open for refining the team’s tactics and increasing the squad’s understanding prior to the world’s biggest sporting event.

Argentine Football Association Fan Token Climbs 25%

From last week’s starting point of $0.628, the Argentine Football Association Fan Token ($ARG) rose 25% over seven days, climbing to a valuation of $0.791 recorded on Nov. 11.

The Fan Token’s trade volume fluctuated between $800,000 and $3 million over the course of the week, with the majority of trade action being recorded on the HTX exchange.

The week-long surge almost carried the token back to its monthly high of $0.80, which was recorded on Oct. 23 prior to a near two-week decline for $ARG.

While the South American qualifying section for next summer’s World Cup has already been completed – with Argentina finishing top of their group by nine clear points – the return of qualifying fixtures on the European stage appears to have reignited interest in major international Fan Tokens.

In the same week, the value of the Italian National Team Fan Token ($ITA) increased by 37% – buoyed by a ten-fold increase in trade volume.

Argentina Team News

Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni has revised his original squad list for the upcoming friendly against Angola, scheduled for November 14.

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez withdrew from the squad, citing ongoing knee issues, while several players – Julián Álvarez, Giuliano Simeone and Nahuel Molina – missed the deadline for the Yellow Fever vaccine, which is a requirement for entering Angola.

Scaloni was able to call up Leandro Paredes, Kevin Mac Allister, and Emiliano Buendia as replacements.
