Argentina Fan Token ($ARG) Climbs 8.4% as Messi Masterminds Angola Win

The value of the Argentine Football Association Fan Token ($ARG) increased by 8.4% in the days following Argentina’s win over Angola in an international friendly match, as talisman Lionel Messi scored one goal and set up another to secure a 2-0 win.
Argentina qualified for next summer’s World Cup by finishing top of the South American qualifying group nine points ahead of second-placed Ecuador.
Since then, Argentina have played three international friendly matches, winning all three without conceding a single goal.
Argentina Fan Token Climbs 8.4%
By the end of the friendly match between Argentina and Angola, the value of the Argentine Football Association Fan Token ($ARG) stood at $0.70.
A few days later, on Nov. 17, the value of the $ARG token had climbed to a peak of $0.759, marking growth of 8.4% in just under 72 hours.

In the days prior to the match, $ARG trade volume had increased from $1.6M to $3.8M. In the days following the match, volume had declined back down to $2.2M, even as the token price continued to rise.
Going back to the start of November, the value of $ARG stood at $0.612, marking 24% growth in just over two weeks.
Despite little of consequence being on the line in international friendly matches, the $ARG token has still shown itself to be highly reactive to the fortunes of the Argentina national team on the pitch.
With the 2026 World Cup still over six months away, the next match of real consequence for Argentina is in March, when Argentina take on Spain in the Finalissima. The Finalissima is a match contested between the most recent winners of the Copa América and the Euros.
Argentina Beat Angola 2-0
Few eyebrows will have been raised when Argentina beat Angola 2-0 on Nov. 14. But however a matchup happens to look on paper, the teams still have to do it on the pitch.
Argentina opened the scoring when striker Lautaro Martinez scored from a Lionel Messi assist just before half-time. Martinez then returned the favour in the 82nd minute when he set up Lionel Messi to make the score 2-0.
Argentina dominated 66% of possession, while completing 90% of their attempted passes (461/512).
All went to plan for Argentina against Angola, making it three friendly wins out of three after a 1-0 win against Venezuela, and a 6-0 win against Puerto Rico, both in October.
