Premier League Fan Token Roundup: Arsenal and Spurs Steal the Show

Matchweek two of the English Premier League gave us gasps, goals, Gyokeres, and even a touch of Grealish as the Fan Token winners reacted strongly to the matchday action.
Let’s take a look at this past weekend’s results in the English Premier League and see how England’s favourite Fan Tokens fared.
Manchester City ($CITY) vs Tottenham Hotspur ($SPURS)
One of the biggest surprises of the weekend came at the Etihad stadium where Spurs grabbed an unexpected, but well deserved, 2-0 win against a team they were expected to lose to.
The Tottenham Hotspur Fan Token ($SPURS) spiked 22% in the hours following the match. The $SPURS token climbed from a spot price of $0.45 to $0.55. The gains were short-lived however, as just eight hours later the token was back down at the $0.47 range, where it remains today.
The Manchester City Fan Token ($CITY) gained 5.6% in the lead up to the match, climbing from $1.06 to $1.12. Following the loss, the token began a slide back down to the $1.04 range where it sits at time of writing, marking a 7% loss.
Arsenal ($AFC) vs Leeds United ($LUFC)
Arsenal showed a taste of what they have to offer this season as they look to finally get their hands on the Premier League trophy, as new signing Viktor Gyokeres scored two in the 5-0 win.
The Arsenal Fan Token ($AFC) underwent a 4.8% increase during the course of the match – from $0.41 to $0.43. As the dust settled the $AFC token returned to the $0.41 mark, where it remains at time of writing.
Brentford vs Aston Villa ($AVL)
Aston Villa are still looking for their first win of the season after losing 1-0 to Brentford on Saturday. Villa were unable to turn their 76% possession into anything fruitful on the day – nor their 17 shots on goal.
The Aston Villa Fan Token ($AVL) saw a modest 5% increase prior to the match – from $0.20 to $0.21. At time of writing the $AVL token remains at the $0.21 mark, which is where the token has been for most of the past month, despite the occasional 10% spike.
With the kind of talent Villa have in their squad, one would expect them to get a win on the board soon. Will next week’s home match against Crystal Palace ($CPFC) be the big moment?
Crystal Palace ($CPFC) vs Nottingham Forest
Crystal Palace remain unbeaten in the Premier League after their 1-1 draw against Forest, making it two draws in a row.
That will bring little joy to Palace fans though, as their team went up 1-0 early in the match before Forest equalized in the 57th minute.
Curiously, the Crystal Palace Fan Token ($CPFC) was on the rise for two weeks leading up to the match, gaining 33% as it climbed from $0.03 to $0.04. It remains at just under the $0.04 mark now. Are $CPFC holders waiting for a win to cash out their gains?
Everton ($EFC) vs Brighton and Hove Albion
Everton were looking to correct last week’s narrow loss to Leeds this past weekend, and two assists from Manchester City loanee Jack Grealish helped them to a 2-0 win against Brighton.
Unfortunately, the price action on the Everton Fan Token ($EFC) didn’t reflect the big occasion. The token had been fluctuating between $0.16 and $0.17 all week, and remains there today.
Everton face a tough match away to Wolves next week – a team that’s also looking for their first three points of the season.
