$LUFC Fan Token ‘Stays Classy’ With 26% Gains As Part Owner Will Ferrell is Spotted in Crowd

The Leeds United Fan Token ($LUFC) continues to stay classy after registering 26% gains for the week leading up to July 21, just a day after Leeds’ ‘anchorman’ and part-owner, Will Ferrell, was spotted in the crowd during Leeds’ 0-0 draw with Manchester United in Stockholm.
The $LUFC Fan Token started at a weekly bottom of $0.0347 before climbing 26.8% over the past seven days, hitting a near four-month high of $0.0440
Leeds are about to return to the English Premier League for the first time in two years following their relegation to the Championship in the 2022/23 season.
Leeds’ promotion has been followed by a flurry of transfer activity as the team seeks to strengthen its squad for the upcoming Premiership season, which kicks off with a match against Everton ($EFC) on Aug. 18.
So far the club has nabbed Sean Longstaff in a $13.8M deal from Newcastle, while also splashing out $18M for Slovenian centre-back Jaka Bijol from Italian club Udinese ($UDI). Leeds also raided German club Wolfsburg for another centre-back and a striker, with Lukas Nmecha and Sebastiaan Bornauw joining for free, and for $6M, respectively.
$LUFC Anchorman Will Ferrell Appears at Man United Friendly
The fortunes of the $LUFC fan token may also have been boosted by the appearance of part-owner Will Ferrell at the club’s friendly match against Manchester United at the Stockholm Arena in Sweden.
The 0-0 draw against Man United was Ferrell’s first appearance at a Leeds game since his investment in the club was first announced, when he attended the club’s 2-1 loss to Burnley – Leeds’ only home loss of the season.
Ferrell donned the new Leeds United away shirt in a photo posted to the official Leeds United FC X account – “kind of a big deal.”
In addition to being a fan of leather-bound books and rich mahogany, the Leeds anchorman is also known for his love of football.
“I think it comes from playing as a kid. My wife played at college and all my boys have played (football). I think I was just the weird California kid that followed football. I loved playing it and it is a great sport,” said Ferrell, explaining his decision to invest in Leeds last year.
