Fluminense

Fluminense advanced after a historic 2–0 win over UEFA Champions League finalists, Inter Milan. Veteran striker Germán Cano broke the deadlock, three minutes after Kickoff before Hercules doubled the lead in stoppage time to send the Brazilian club to the quarter finals. Also,goalkeeper Fábio made crucial saves to keep the lead. The Brazilian side showed defensive discipline and now finds itself in its first-ever Club World Cup quarter-final.

Al Hilal

Al Hilal stunned Premier League giants Manchester City in a dramatic extra-time finish. A 2–2 draw in regular time led to a 4–3 victory, thanks to a last-minute winner from Marcos Leornado. The Saudi club’s quick counterattack and pressing game proved effective again. This is their third quarter-final appearance in 2025.

Palmeiras

Palmeiras returns to the quarter-finals after edging past fellow Brazilian counterpart, Botafofo by 1–0. Young talent Paulinho found the net alongside veteran Raphael Veiga. The Brazilian giants controlled much of the match and showed composure despite a late push from Botafogo. This is Palmeiras’ third  appearance in the CWC.

Chelsea

Chelsea looked sharp in their 4–1 win over Benfica. Reece James, Nkunku, Pedro Neto and Hall were all on targets as Cole Palmer once again proved instrumental, combining for goals and assists. Chelsea now looks to repeat its 2021 title-winning run.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG)

PSG delivered a commanding 4–0 win over Inter Miami CF. Joao Neves led the charge with two goals, followed by an own goal from Thomas Aviles and finally a fourth from Hakimi to seal the victory. The team’s fluid attack and high press overwhelmed the opposition. PSG aims to add a fifth title to the four they’ve already scouped so far. 

Bayern Munich

Bayern also cruised to a 4:2 win over  CR Flamengo following an early own goal from Pulgar, a brace from talisman Harry Kane and a goal from Goretzka. This marks Bayern’s third appearance in Club World Cup history.

Real Madrid

The Spanish giants survived a scare against the Old Ladies of Juventus, winning 1–0 thanks to Garcia’s decisive header. Madrid dominated possession but faced stiff resistance. The win showed their resilience as they eye a seventh Club World Cup title.

Borussia Dortmund

Dortmund booked their spot with a 2–1 victory over Monterrey thanks to a brace from Guirassy. The German side displayed solid organization and efficient build-up play, marking their first quarter-final appearance in this competition.
