Chiliz and Socios.com bid farewell to the iconic Goodison Park

This weekend marked a poignant milestone in football history, as Everton Football Club played their final men’s home game at Goodison Park — one of the oldest and most iconic stadiums in English football. After 133 unforgettable years, the stadium closes its doors, paving the way for a bold new chapter for Everton Women in the Club’s journey.
To commemorate the occasion, $EFC Fan Token holders played a unique role in the farewell celebrations. Through a Fan Poll hosted on the Socios.com app, fans selected their favourite moment of the season — and in return, saw their names featured in the official matchday programme for the final fixture against Southampton. Supporters were also invited to submit personal farewell messages, which were displayed on LED screens around the ground during the match — continuing a tradition of fan-led digital activations at Goodison Park since 2021.
$EFC Fan Token: The Heartbeat of Goodison Park
Launched in 2021, the $EFC Fan Token has empowered Everton supporters with unprecedented access and influence. Over the past three seasons, token holders have redeemed more than 100 VIP matchday tickets, participated in dozens of exclusive experiences with Club legends, and helped shape the matchday experience — voting on programme covers, corner flag designs, pre-match playlists, and motivational messages displayed in and around the stadium.
But the impact of the Fan Token has gone well beyond traditional matchdays. Fans have taken part in “Play on the Pitch” events — including the 2022 UK Fan Token Cup, featuring Club icon Steven Pienaar — allowing them to walk through the players’ tunnel to the sound of Z-Cars, change in the home dressing room, and play on the same hallowed turf as their blue heroes.
Supporters have also enjoyed behind-the-scenes experiences such as preparing kits with the Club’s kit team and watching away matches alongside much-loved former Everton players, including Leon Osman — helping to deepen the bond of fans with their club in ways never before possible.
Looking Ahead: A New Era at Hill Dickinson Stadium
As Everton prepares to move into the state-of-the-art Hill Dickinson Stadium, the $EFC Fan Token community will continue to be at the heart of the Club’s evolution. The new 52,000-seater venue will stand as one of the UK’s most advanced sporting arenas, promising even more unforgettable moments and fan-first experiences — both on matchdays and beyond.
As Goodison Park is reimagined for a new future with Everton Women, the memories will always live on — and the future, powered by the $EFC Fan Token, looks brighter than ever.
