AS Monaco ($ASM) Spikes 9.5% on Goalkeeper Move as Trade Volume Jumps 800%

Author: Greg Thomson

AS Monaco will soon have some additional experience between the sticks after it was reported that Bayern Leverkusen goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky has agreed terms with the French side.

The AS Monaco Fan Token ($ASM) has been on the rise for most of the past month, and spiked 9.5% on the day the Finnish international goalkeeper’s signing was announced.

The spot price of $ASM jumped from a daily starting value of $0.21 up to $0.23 in a few short hours on Thursday, July 24. The token’s 9.5% jump coincided with the influx of over $180,000 in trade volume – an increase of over 800% from the $20,000 being traded just 24 hours previously.

The value of the AS Monaco Fan Token ($ASM) is now up 15% for the week, and over 22% for the past two weeks, as the token looks to return to highs not witnessed since early June.

Reasons to Be Cheerful for AS Monaco in 2025/26

The signing of Hradecky might serve to provide some certainty in the goalkeeping position at Monaco this season. In the 2024/25 season, manager Adi Hutter regularly rotated between Radosław Majecki and Philipp Köhn throughout the season, without either keeper making the position their own.

Hutter framed this situation as a positive, claiming that every player has a part to play in achieving the team’s goals.

While laudable, this stance left many fans wondering who was the team’s best choice between the sticks.

It’s not yet known if the 35 year-old Hradecky will immediately take the No.1 spot, or if he’ll provide backup for the two younger stoppers.

Monaco’s transfer activity has been brief but shrewd so far this season. The club are yet to spend a penny, but have already brought in former Bayern Munich defender Eric Dier on a free transfer, and mercurial Barcelona (BAR) winger Ansu Fati on loan.
