Founded on July 21, 1902, Fluminense Football Club is one of the entities that brought football to Brazil. The team constructed the first cement stadium in Latin America, The Laranjeiras Stadium, which has hosted the South American Championship, the Copa América, as well as the Latin American Olympic Games, now known as Pan American Games.
