Why Trabzonspor Fan Token ($TRA) is Defying Market Downturn with 8.1% Daily Gains

With the international break pausing domestic action for most Fan Token clubs, not to mention wider market choppiness, there aren’t many assets on an upswing right now – but the Trabzonspor Fan Token ($TRA) is bucking the trend.
With the Turkish club on a six-game winning streak, the token has jumped 8.1% in the last 24 hours, rising from a spot value of $0.295 to $0.319, per Socios.com.
So, why the sudden jump?
Trabzonspor Fan Token Reflects Club’s Title Push
Trabzonspor are the current form team in the Turkish Süper Lig, with recent results having helped them close the gap on second-placed Fenerbahçe ($FB).
Seven points behind prior to the aforementioned run, Trabzonspor have now drawn level on points, though Fenerbahçe remain second thanks to a superior goal difference (33 vs 24).
Trabzonspor’s uptick in form actually came after they lost 3-2 at home to Fenerbahçe on February 14. Since then, the value of the Trabzonspor Fan Token ($TRA) has climbed by an astonishing 31.2%.
Although 24hr trading volume has generally trended under $1m, mid-March saw an explosion of interest in $TRA as this figure rose to $10.2m. At the time of writing, it is in a more familiar range of $671,507.

While it’s easy to attribute $TRA’s recent performance to the club’s improved form since the Fenerbahçe loss, it is hard to say what caused the latest 8% daily pump, since their last fixture was six days ago.
In any case, this season’s Süper Lig is looking like a genuine three-horse race, with just four points separating top-placed Galatasaray ($GAL) from Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor.
Key Clash Could Drive More Positive Sentiment
Immediately after the international break, Trabzonspor’s title credentials will be tested when they host Galatasaray (April 4). A win for the home side would see them draw just a point behind the reigning Turkish champions.
Galatasaray are on a quest to win their fourth league title in a row, while Trabzonspor hope to claim their first since the 2021/22 season. Fenerbahçe, meanwhile, haven’t won the league since 2013/14.
While the value of GAL is up 9% in the last fortnight, the Fenerbahçe Fan Token ($FB) has trended down amid middling league form, its value having slid 37.5% over the last month. Might a win over fourth-placed Beşiktaş ($BJK) in their next match (April 5) restore faith in their title charge?
