What Saturday’s Inter ($INTER) vs Juventus ($JUV) Showdown Could Mean for Their Fan Tokens

The latest instalment in Serie A’s fascinating power struggle could have major impact on title race and Fan Token sentiment
Saturday night’s Derby d’Italia showdown between league leaders Inter Milan and fourth-placed Juventus (Feb. 14) is set to be a mouthwatering one, with both clubs in a rich vein of form.
Clash of Titans
Unbeaten in their last five games, and unbeaten in the league since November, Inter are currently eight points clear at the Serie A summit, although AC Milan could slash that to five if they beat Pisa on Friday (Feb. 13).
Meanwhile, Juventus have lost just one of their last ten league outings, having racked up wins over Roma (2-1) and Napoli (3-0) during that period. Interestingly, those two teams sit either side of Juve in the league, Napoli being third and Roma fifth, and they also meet on Sunday.
With four of the league’s top five facing off, the battle for the Scudetto, as well as those coveted European spots, is well and truly on.
If Juventus upset the apple cart and defeat Inter at the San Siro, they will not only blow the title race wide open but move up to third in the table, ahead of Napoli on goal difference. And if Napoli are shocked by the Romans in Naples, that’s where Juve will remain.
Fan Token Momentum Builds Ahead of Kickoff
Fan Token action often intensifies around blockbuster fixtures like this one, so expect trade volumes to tick up as kickoff draws closer. In fact, both the Inter Milan Fan Token ($INTER) and the Juventus Fan Token ($JUV) have been on the move ahead of this weekend’s clash.
While the value of $INTER has risen 6.8% over the last seven days, $JUV is up 2.3% over the same period, but 8.7% since Feb. 9. Trade volumes (24hr) for both Fan Tokens are also north of $2.5 million two days before matchday.

The last time Juventus met Inter Milan, on Sept. 13, the Old Lady secured a thrilling 4-3 victory thanks to a late winner from Vasilije Adžić. In the aftermath, $JUV trade volume rocketed to $22.9m, up from $4.6m the day before.
The $INTER value, meanwhile, slid 10.8% in the week following the defeat.
What a Win Could Mean for $INTER
Given $INTER’s been on the march since Feb. 6, an emphatic Nerazzurri victory could maintain that momentum ahead of their vital UCL playoff tie against Bodø / Glimt (Feb. 18/24).
Particularly if the team closest to them, AC Milan, drops points against Pisa tomorrow night.
What a Win Could Mean for $JUV
With support for $JUV having strengthened in recent days, an upset Juventus victory might conceivably send its Fan Token higher. Momentum that could carry into their own crunch UCL playoff against Galatasaray (Feb. 17/25).
Zooming out, $JUV is down 17.2% since a month ago so it may be undervalued given the importance of upcoming fixtures.
Needless to say, traders should do their own research. Let the battle commence.
