Samsunspor Fan Token ($SAM) Spikes 22% as Club Chases Historical Süper Lig Finish

The value of the Samsunspor Fan Token ($SAM) increased to the tune of 22% in a short, sharp spike on Thursday, Nov. 13, accompanied by a massive increase to the token’s trade volume.

Samsunspor are currently chasing their best back-to-back league finishes in the club’s history. Samsunspor finished third last season, and are currently sitting in third in the Turkish Süper Lig.

The last time the club achieved two consecutive third-spot finishes in Türkiye’s top league was in the 1985-86 and 86-87 seasons.

Samsunspor Fan Token ($SAM) Spikes 22%

In the space of just a few hours on Thursday morning, the value of the Samsunspor Fan Token ($SAM) jumped 22% – climbing from $0.179 to $0.220 in a brief flurry of trading activity.

The majority of the price spike occurred in the hours between 06:00 and 09:30, accompanied by a near ten-fold increase to trade volume which increased from around $20,000 to just over $192,000.

Currently traded on the Paribu and Kanga exchanges, over $190,000 of the volume influx occurred on the Paribu exchange alone.

Ultimately, the jump to $0.22 lasted just as long as it took to occur. By time of writing the value of the $SAM token had fallen back to the $0.190 range, leaving the Fan Token holding onto just over 6% gains for the 24-hour period.

Samsunspor in 2025

$SAM had a tumultuous year in 2025. The token went on a slow-but-steady 50% run between April and August, before sinking between August and November.

On the pitch, Samsunspor has had a successful start to the season by all accounts. The team has only lost once so far this season, and currently occupy 4th in the Turkish Süper Lig.

Samsunspor only gained promotion to the top league two seasons ago, after winning the second-tier of Turkish football in the 2022-23 season.

If the team can achieve a second consecutive 3rd-spot finish, it will be the best back-to-back league finish the club has achieved since 1985-86 and 86-87 seasons.
