Premier League Preview: Fan Token Clubs Clash with Palace’s Unbeaten Record on the Line

It’s matchweek seven in the English Premier League and there’s more at stake this weekend than just points.
There’s also passion – via a London Derby between Arsenal ($AFC) and West Ham.
There’s pride – as Aston Villa ($AVL) look to shake off their early season blues and inflict punishment on struggling Burnley.
And there’s Palace. Crystal Palace ($CPFC) – a team that is currently on a 12-match unbeaten run in the Premier League, and 19-matches in all competitions, but who will face stiff competition in the form of another Fan Token club in Everton ($EFC).
So let’s take a look at the pride, passion and points at stake in this weekend’s Premier League Fan Token club preview.
Arsenal ($AFC) vs West Ham
While these two London teams don’t despise each other as much as they do other London clubs, this clash has a history of producing fireworks. Declan Rice burst onto the scene for West Ham when he scored the winner in this fixture back in 2019, and now he captains Arsenal.
West Ham are second from bottom and just replaced manager Graham Potter with Nuno Espirito Santo. They’ll have the bit between their teeth and may benefit from a new-manager bounce.
For Arsenal, anything less than three points will be a catastrophe as they look to keep pace with Liverpool at the top end of the league.
A broader crypto market decline impacted the Arsenal Fan Token ($AFC) among other tokens. That said, $AFC is still up 14% over the previous quarter, and has clawed back 3.5% in the past week. Average daily trade volume has been on the rise this week, climbing from $130,000 to just under $600,000.
Leeds United ($LUFC) vs Tottenham ($SPURS)
Leeds have pulled themselves up to mid-table in recent weeks following a win and a draw in their last two games. Tottenham, meanwhile, could be top of the table were it not for two draws against Wolves and Brighton in the last two games, and find themselves sitting in 4th place.
Bookmaker odds make Tottenham slight favourites for this match, but Leeds will enter the match feeling optimistic following their recent upturn in form.
The Leeds United Fan Token ($LUFC) is down 1.5% in the past 24 hours, but is up 22% for the week. Since early September, the $LUFC token has increased 46% in value, and that run may continue should Leeds get a result against Spurs.
The Tottenham Hotspur Fan Token ($SPURS) is down for the week and month, but managed to gain back 2% in the past few days, during which time trade volume rose from $50,000 to over $500,000.
Everton ($EFC) vs Crystal Palace ($CPFC)
Everton sit in 9th place in the Premier League and look a much more resilient outfit than in recent years under returning manager David Moyes. The bookies can barely split these two teams, although Everton come out slight favourites due to home advantage.
But Palace are on a 12-match unbeaten run in the Premier League, and just inflicted Liverpool’s first defeat of the season last weekend. Palace are a rejuvenated team and their mid-week win in Europe will have only boosted their confidence further.
The Everton Fan Token ($EFC) is down for the week and month, but regained 4.5% in the past few days.
The Crystal Palace Fan Token ($CPFC) is up 109% since mid-September. The token has climbed in lock step with Palace’s on-field record, gaining 137% since mid-April, when Palace’s unbeaten run began. That said, the $CPFC token is down 4.5% in the last 24 hours.
Brentford vs Manchester City ($CITY)
Brentford showed they were no pushovers last week when they beat Manchester United, and despite losing some of their best talent to bigger teams in the summer, still have the potential to use pace, physicality and directness to great effect – especially against possession-based teams like Man City.
But City are unbeaten in the last three and have won five of their last seven against Brentford, home and away. Haaland leads the goal charts with 8 goals so far this season, and if Brentford attack he may be able to use his strength and speed to punish them.
The Manchester City Fan Token ($CITY) gained 9.4% in the past week, and despite losses over the past month, remains 20% up for the quarter.
Aston Villa ($AVL) vs Burnley
Aston Villa got their first win of the season against Fulham last week, and might find themselves re-energized by getting three points on the table. The obvious talent in the Villa squad would suggest they’ll soon correct their current 16th-place standing. Villa are unbeaten in the last three, following two draws prior to last week’s win.
Burnley lie third from bottom, but have just two points less than Villa. With the home advantage, Burnley may find it difficult to overcome a resurgent Aston Villa this weekend.
The Aston Villa Fan Token ($AVL) is up 0.5% in the past 24 hours, as of time of writing, but is still down 2.5% in the past week. The $AVL token might be considered for a breakout soon, after declining for the past quarter. Winning on-field performances by Aston Villa could help matters.
