Premier League Fan Token Preview: Man City, Spurs, Arsenal and More

It’s matchweek six of the English Premier League this weekend, with some interesting fixtures lined up that could affect the standings at the top and bottom of the league table.

Let’s take a look at the clubs in the EPL with Fan Tokens set to kick off this weekend.

Crystal Palace ($CPFC) vs Liverpool

One of the most interesting fixtures coming up this weekend is Palace vs Liverpool – the only two teams who have yet to taste defeat this season.

If Palace win, they extend their meteoric unbeaten run to record lengths, while if Liverpool win, they could potentially extend their lead at the top to eight points – depending on other results.

The Crystal Palace Fan Token ($CPFC) gained more than 82% last week, although on slight volume. The token has gained over 130% since August amid a run that matches the team’s unbeaten run in the Premier League, which stretches back to last April.

Leeds ($LUFC) vs Bournemouth

Leeds currently sit in 12th place while Bournemouth currently sit in 4th. Bournemouth are slight favourites for this match although Leeds retain the home advantage where they have yet to lose this season. An interesting match that could go either way.

The Leeds United Fan Token ($LUFC) declined 4.5% in the past 24 hours. Despite some large spikes and dips, the token remains more or less where it was one week ago, and also one month ago.

Manchester City ($CITY) vs Burnley

After a stumbling start to the season Man City fought back with a win against Manchester United and a draw against Arsenal. Without being disrespectful to 16th placed Burnley, a Man City win seems to be the most likely result here.

The Manchester City Fan Token ($CITY) is down 3.8% in the past 24 hours, and 15% for the week. Notably, trade volume jumped more than 4-fold in the past day, climbing from $2 million to just over $9 million.

Tottenham Hotspur ($SPURS) vs Wolves

Third-placed Tottenham sit equal on points with second-placed Arsenal, and have scored just as many goals, while also conceding one more. With Wolves rooted to the bottom of the table with five losses out of five, the odds favour Tottenham maintaining their stellar start to the season.

The Tottenham Hotspur Fan Token ($SPURS) is down 4.6% over the past 24 hours, and its losses for the week stand at 13%.

Aston Villa ($AVL) vs Fulham

Villa are still searching for their first win of the season, but don’t necessarily face an easy task in a Fulham side that’s only lost once so far. There’s still a general belief that Villa will turn it on at some point this season, but whether this weekend’s match will be the trigger point remains to be seen.

The Aston Villa Fan Token ($AVL) is down 2.1% over the past 24 hours. Weekly losses stand at 10% amid a general slump in the broader cryptocurrency market that has also affected the majority of football Fan Tokens.

Newcastle vs Arsenal ($AFC)

Arsenal must win if they don’t want to risk Liverpool extending their 5-point lead at the top of the table, but may not have it easy away at Newcastle, where the Geordies have the potential to spring a surprise on anyone.

The Arsenal Fan Token ($AFC) is down 1.7% in the past day, and 10% in the past week.

Everton ($EFC) vs West Ham

Monday night’s fixture sees Everton entertain West Ham at Goodison Park. Everton currently sit comfortably in 10th place, while West Ham have four losses and just one win to their name.

The Everton Fan Token ($EFC) is down 1.45% for the past day, and 10% for the past week.
