How Big is Palermo FC?
Part of the City Football Group that also owns Manchester City ($CITY), Palermo FC was founded in 1900, making it one of Italy’s oldest clubs. The Rosanero club has spent 29 seasons in the Italian top flight, while also winning five Serie B league titles and appearing in three Coppa Italia finals, the most recent of which came in 2010-11.
When it launches, the Palermo Fan Token® will give supporters fresh ways to engage with this historic Italian footballing institution.
Engagement opportunities could include exclusive opportunities to fly with the team, tour the stadium with legendary players, or attend virtual meet-and-greets with squad members. Fans can also vote on binding polls to influence club decisions, as well as redeem signed match-worn merchandise.
In Serie B, Palermo FC is currently tied for first place with Mantova, having claimed ten points from their opening four games. Their last season in the top flight was 2016/17.
The Rosanero club is managed by legendary Italian striker Filippo Inzaghi, who previously secured promotion for Pisa. Inzaghi’s coaching career has seen him take charge of several top Italian clubs, including Milan, where he enjoyed a glittering playing career.
