Napoli Fan Token ($NAP) Spikes 8% as Conte Returns Ahead of Atalanta Clash

The value of the Napoli Fan Token ($NAP) underwent an 8% price surge early on Tuesday, Nov. 18, fresh off of reports that club manager Antonio Conte had returned to the club after a one week hiatus.
Conte returned to his family home in Turin during the international break for what was termed an “extended personal leave.” Rumours hinted at Conte potentially leaving his managerial post at Napoli following a string of poor results that saw the team slip from first to fourth in the Italian Serie A.
Those fears have now been put to bed as Conte returns to coach the squad ahead of the weekend’s upcoming fixture against 13th-placed Atalanta.
Napoli Fan Token ($NAP) Spikes 8%
The Napoli Fan Token ($NAP) coasted along at the $0.34 range for much of the past 24 hours, before suddenly exploding at 07:00am on Tuesday morning.
At 07:00am the $NAP token was priced at $0.342. Just one hour later, the token’s trade volume had more than doubled from $150,000 to over $360,000, and the token price had climbed to a valuation of $0.37 – marking gains of 8.1%.

The Fan Token struggled to hold onto its sudden growth, and fell back to the $0.35 mark. Then, the upward momentum kicked in again, sending the token price back up to the $0.36 range.
As seen above, it was a volatile couple of hours for the $NAP token, and it continues to battle its way upward at time of writing, by which point trade volume had climbed as high as $500,000, marking a near 250% increase in trading activity in the morning session.
Conte Returns to Prepare for Atalanta Match
Manager Antonio Conte announced last week he would be returning to his family home in Turin for a one-week hiatus, which sparked rumours in the press that all was perhaps not well at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples.
However, the week-long break coincided with the international break, during which many of the Napoli first-team squad were away with their national teams. Conte’s assistant Crisitan Stellini was left in charge of the depleted squad of non-international players, and handled training sessions for the week.
Conte has now returned to Napoli, however, and has resumed training duties ahead of the weekend’s upcoming fixture against Atalanta. If other fixtures go their way, Napoli have the opportunity to reclaim top spot in Serie A once again.
