How Wild Sunday Played Out On Pitch and On Chain for AC Milan ($ACM)

On Sunday (Oct. 18), the AC Milan Fan Token® ($ACM) was one of the most traded assets in SportFi as the Rossoneri sparked excitement in the stands and in the markets.
After a goal-fest against Atalanta, AC Milan finished the day in the top four of Serie A while traders were left to reflect on a rollercoaster period.
At the time of writing on Monday morning, $ACM trade volumes still stand at $10.1m, making it the no.1 trending asset in the SportFi ecosystem.
Here’s a closer look at what happened on pitch and on chain.
Why $ACM Bulls Rallied Ahead of Atalanta Clash

The biggest gains for the AC Milan Fan Token® ($ACM)occurred before the home tie against Atalanta kicked off, perhaps a consequence of pre-match optimism about the club’s unbeaten start to the Scudetto campaign under Ruben Amorim (3W, 3D).
Priced at $0.258 on Sunday morning, $ACM had climbed to $0.294 by 11.30am, marking a rise of 13.9%. As suddenly as the token’s value had shot up, it fell with the majority of those gains summarily erased by midday.
With the match not kicking off until 6pm CEST, traders continued buying and selling and there was another strong mid-afternoon rally, as the token made a run from $0.263 to $0.286 (+8.7%).
Trading action remained choppy for the rest of the day, before a sustained, albeit modest decline commenced from around 10.30pm. With the dust settled, the value of $ACM has dropped 4.6% over the last 24 hours, although trade volumes remain elevated.
AC Milan Quell Fightback to Stay Unbeaten
Midfielder Adrien Rabiot was the star of the show at the San Siro, the Frenchman scoring the second and laying on an assist for Milan’s third.
2-0 up at half-time, 3-0 ahead after an hour, it looked like plain sailing for the home side until mid-table Atalanta mounted a late fightback.
Two goals in fifteen chaotic minutes tested Milan’s resilience, but the Rossoneri managed to hold on to secure all three points. Milan are now two points behind Roma, and four adrift of Lazio and Inter Milan.
An away win for Cagliari against struggling Monza tonight would see them knock AC Milan from fourth to fifth after seven games.
AC Milan return to action in the Europa League this Thursday (Oct. 22), when they face Bournemouth away, having destroyed Red Bull Salzburg 4-0 in their last outing. There are three more league games to play before the end of the month, culminating in a mouth-watering collision with current league leaders Inter (Oct. 31).
The value of $ACM has fallen 20.8% since Aug. 19, but backers will be hoping victories over Bournemouth and Inter could make October a month to remember.
