How the Fan Token Market is Reacting to Spurs’ Relegation Battle

On Saturday, Tottenham Hotspur won their first league fixture of 2026, a result that was desperately needed given their precarious league position of 18th.
Despite pocketing three points for the first time since December, though, Spurs ended the day where they began due to relegation rival West Ham United beating Everton.
Let’s look at how the north London club’s official Fan Token™ responded to the action.
$SPURS Rises and Falls as Relegation Dogfight Continues
Interestingly, the market reaction to Saturday’s games was reflected in Sunday’s price charts.
The morning after Spurs’ narrow 1-0 victory over bottom-placed Wolves, the value of the Tottenham Hotspur Fan Token™ ($SPURS) began to climb, its intraday gains reaching 8.6% by early afternoon on the back of soaring trade volumes.

The day before, Joao Palhinha’s close-range strike had proven vital, as a stalemate would have seen West Ham United move four points clear due to their own victory. As it was, Spurs stayed within a two-point touching distance with four games remaining.

After the $SPURS token had rocketed on Sunday morning, a swift correction followed as the price fell from a daily peak of $0.1743 to $0.1594 by midnight (-8.5%). Nevertheless, the spot price of $SPURS is still up 1.9% over the last seven days.
Fan Token traders are eagerly speculating on the fortunes of the north London club, with 24hr trade volumes currently standing at $343,386, compared to $40,851 on the morning of the match (+740.5%).
It is possible the value of $SPURS would have risen even higher if West Ham had drawn or lost at home to Everton, an outcome that would have seen Tottenham draw level or pull a point clear of the East London club to reach safety.
What’s Next for $SPURS?
Tottenham Hotspur have won their first of what could be considered five finals, as their Premier League survival – and perhaps even their status as one of the world’s most valuable clubs – hangs in the balance.
Spurs must outperform West Ham United, their main relegation rival, in their remaining games against Aston Villa (May 3), Leeds United (May 11), Chelsea (May 17) and Everton (May 24).
This Sunday’s clash with Aston Villa will be huge, as Villa are locked in their own three-way battle for third place with Manchester United and Liverpool. As well as hoping they can upset Villa, Spurs fans will be praying West Ham lose away to Brighton (May 2) and Nottingham Forest lose to Chelsea (May 4).
On the Fan Token front, expect $SPURS to react to the growing significance of each game as the club seeks to avoid a first top-flight demotion since 1977.
