How $GAL and $TRA Volumes Are Climbing Despite $9B in Bitcoin and Ether ETF Outflows

Over the past four months, the U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ether ETFs have seen a whopping $9.15B in combined outflows as selling pressures continue to mount.
However, the Galatasaray Fan Token ($GAL) posted $3,601,788 in 24hr trading volume while the Trabzonspor Fan Token ($TRA) reached $1,225,540, per Socios.com. These spikes in trading activity resulted from the clubs’ recent on-field performances in the Turkish league.
ETF Outflows Deepen as Institutional Demand Weakens
Bitcoin ETFs have seen $6.39B in outflows across four straight months, marking the longest losing streak since their January 2024 launch.
Ether ETFs have also lost $2.76B over the same period, reflecting fading institutional appetite. Bitcoin has fallen from above $126,000 in October to around $67,000, while Ether is down more than 60% from last year’s highs.
Analysts say sustained inflows are needed before any meaningful market rebound can take shape.
What Is Happening to $GAL and $TRA?
The Galatasaray Fan Token ($GAL) recorded a remarkable 138.10% increase in trading volume to take its price to $3,601,788 on Monday morning. This is a continuation of last week’s upward trajectory, although it couldn’t match up to last week’s trading volume of $6.9 million.
Similarly, the Trabzonspor Fan Token ($TRA) saw a 287.30% surge in trading volume to over $1 million. This increased trading activity ranked it as one of the top trending Fan Tokens in the SportFi market.
The tokens are moving in a positive direction as they attract significant attention from market watchers despite a broader crypto market downturn.
Why Are Trading Volumes Rising?
The surge in activity follows Galatasaray’s win over the weekend, which lifted sentiment around the club. Trabzonspor also secured a victory, adding momentum to fan engagement and investor interest.
Fan Tokens often react directly to match results, especially when wins improve league positioning. The positive outcomes have driven renewed demand even as institutional money exits Bitcoin and Ether ETFs.
What to Watch Next
Upcoming league fixtures will determine whether interest in $GAL and $TRA remains elevated. Galatasaray also have a two-leg UCL tie with Liverpool to look forward to, which might capture traders’ interest.
Any shift in ETF flow trends could also influence overall risk appetite across digital assets.
