Fan Tokens™ Clash in Coppa Italia Final: $INTER v $LAZIO Preview

Tonight in Rome, Inter Milan and Lazio will contest the Coppa Italia final in the last match of real significance this season, at least where silverware is concerned.
With the Nerrazurri having already won the Scudetto at a canter, they now have the chance to clinch a double against a Lazio side who are currently sitting mid-table.
So, what could happen at the Stadio Olimpico and how might it affect the sentiment around the finalists’ Fan Tokens™?
What Could a Win Do for $INTER and $LAZIO?
With major match outcomes often translating into positive on-chain sentiment, a victory for either club could well be reflected by a boost in their asset’s value.
At the time of writing, with kickoff nine hours away, the Inter Milan Fan Token™ ($INTER) is priced at $0.318 per Socios.com, having declined 0.8% in the last 24 hours and risen by a modest 0.6% in the last week.
Closer investigation, though, shows a gradual uptick since last night, the token’s value having climbed almost 2% since 8pm UTC.

As for the Lazio Fan Token™ ($LAZIO), its value is $0.661, up 0.15% over the last 24 hours and 6.2% in the past seven days.
As for 24hr trade volumes, they have consistently exceeded $1M for $LAZIO of late, while $INTER volumes stand at around $360k. In both cases, those figures should rise as the game draws closer.
Both $INTER and $LAZIO are top 20 Fan Tokens™ by market cap, with $INTER sitting 18th and $LAZIO just outside the top ten, sandwiched between the Atlético Madrid Fan Token™ (10th) and the Manchester City Fan Token™ (11th).
Who Wins in Rome?
Decentralized prediction platform Polymarket makes Inter favourites to lift the Coppa Italia (56%) tonight, with Lazio’s chances rated at 17% and a draw 26%.
We don’t have to go far back to see what happened when the teams last met: they played four days ago – also at the Stadio Olympico, the home of Lazio – and Inter won 3-0 as the hosts were reduced to ten men after an hour.
In light of that result, and Inter’s dominance en route to securing a 21st Scudetto, they are understandable favourites to secure their first double since Jose Mourinho’s team in 2010 (actually a treble, alongside the UCL). Interestingly, that team featured current manager Cristian Chivu.

As for Lazio, they’re aiming to seal their first Coppa Italia since 2019, which was the last time they won a trophy of any kind. It’s been a disappointing season for the Biancocelesti, who are well adrift of the European spots and can at best finish eighth if they win their last two league games.
Maurizio Sarri is sure to fire up his men though, and they’ve already knocked out AC Milan, holders Bologna, and Atalanta, so an upset isn’t out of the question. Particularly given the added motivation of clinching a Europa League spot for next season.
Whatever happens, history will be made. An Inter win would deliver a tenth Coppa Italia, taking them one ahead of Roma in the all-time race, albeit five behind Juventus. Lazio, meanwhile, can win their eighth Coppa Italia and their first trophy in seven years.
