Can AC Milan ($ACM) Resurrect Title Ambitions By Beating Inter on Sunday?

If AC Milan are to have any chance of winning this season’s Serie A, they must defeat arch-rivals Internazionale at the San Siro on Sunday (Mar. 8), a victory that could reinvigorate interest in the club’s Fan Token.
So, can they do it? And even if they can, are they doomed to finish runners-up anyway?
Why AC Milan Can Pull Off Derby Upset
Although Inter Milan are favourites going into the Derby della Madonnina, there are several reasons why it’s easy to see AC springing an upset and making a late-season title charge.
AC Milan kept close pace with Inter for much of the season, and were
actually unbeaten in Serie A for six months between late August and late February. Despite this, an inability to turn draws into wins, coupled with Inter’s bright form, has seen them fall ten points behind in the title race.
While ten points with eleven games left is a lot, it’s not insurmountable if AC Milan can win Sunday’s massive six-pointer. And they just might do it: AC are unbeaten in the last six derbies, winning four, and they have ‘home’ advantage at the weekend.
Moreover, this game feels more important for the Rossoneri, with Inter at risk of taking their eye off the ball given the large cushion they’ve created at the top of the table. Inter are still without injured striker Lautaro Martinez, too.
The fact that it’s been almost two years since Inter last won a Milan derby feeds into the perception that AC could get all three points and kickstart their stalled campaign.
AC Milan have tended to win league games against top-4 opponents this season. As well as beating Inter on Nov. 23, they beat Roma on Nov. 2 and Napoli on Sept. 28.
Could Win Stimulate Strong Sentiment for AC Milan Fan Token ($ACM)?
It’s been a season of peaks and valleys for the AC Milan Fan Token ($ACM) but there’s been no getting away from the general downturn since the turn of the year, when they were just a point behind Inter (and a point above Napoli).
Priced at $0.552 on Jan. 1, $ACM has fallen to 0.436, a drop of 21% in just over two months.
Interestingly, though, $ACM has actually gained 12% since Feb. 5 after traders called the bottom at $0.389. During that period, AC have won twice, drawn, and lost.

If $ACM could gain 12% despite dropping points in two out of four games, how might the markets react if they beat a seemingly imperious Inter, who have dropped just two points in the last 15 games?
An AC win would mark Inter’s fifth Serie A defeat this season, while AC have lost just twice. Ominously, though, both of those defeats have come at the San Siro.
Of course, there is a flip side to that coin. An Inter win would virtually torpedo AC Milan’s title prospects, which could strengthen Inter Milan Fan Token ($INTER) sentiment even further. The token’s value has jumped 46.2% over the last month.
The stage is set, and supporters and Fan Token traders are waiting with bated breath. The stakes couldn’t be higher.
