Aston Villa ($AVL) Jumps 15.8% on Newcastle Win as Arsenal Drop Points

Aston Villa’s win over Newcastle combined with Arsenal’s slip-up against Manchester United in this weekend’s Premier League fixtures translated into notable gains for the Aston Villa Fan Token ($AVL).
The value of $AVL had already begun to climb following Villa’s 2-0 win over Newcastle, but surged even higher when Arsenal dropped points later the same day.
With Villa now just four points off the Premier League summit, and sitting second in the Europa League, the $AVL token has been on the ascension for the entirety of the past quarter.
$AVL Gains 15.8% on Arsenal Slip-up
Between the kickoff of the Villa vs Newcastle game and the final result, the value of the Aston Villa Fan Token ($AVL) initially climbed 8.3%, rising from $0.145 up to $0.157.
As seen in the chart below, the token price then dipped before surging even higher after the final whistle blew following Arsenal’s 3-2 loss to Manchester United in the later kickoff that same day.

Within an hour after Arsenal’s loss, the $AVL token price climbed to a peak of $0.168, amounting to 15.8% gains for the six hour period alone.
A slight retracement followed, but the token continued to climb moving into Monday morning, when it ascended to the $0.166 range once again.
Trade volume was still on the rise on Monday, having increased from $80,000 to $1.15 million over the 24-hour period, marking a 1,330% uptick.
Villa, City and Arsenal Locked in Three-Way Shootout
This isn’t the first time $AVL benefitted directly from Arsenal dropping points. Just last week we witnessed Aston Villa, Manchester City and Arsenal rise and fall in relation to each other, as the Premier League table turned into a real-time crypto chart.
Following the weekend fixtures, the valuation of the Manchester City Fan Token ($CITY) dropped 2.5%, while the valuation of the Arsenal Fan Token ($AFC) dropped 9%.
Now, City and Villa both sit just four points off Arsenal as they sit second and third placed in the league, respectively.
Aston Villa ($AVL) Undervalued?
With $AVL currently valued at less than one-half of the $AFC price ($0.37) and one-third of the $CITY price ($0.58), traders may be looking to back an undervalued horse in the form of Aston Villa.
Villa have spent the least amount of money on player transfers in the entire Premier League, yet sit four points off top spot, while also occupying second place in the Europa League table, equal on points with leaders Lyon, behind on goal-difference only.
Since mid-November of 2025, the valuation of the $AVL token has increased by 75%, coinciding with Villa’s ascendance on the domestic and European scene.
