Arsenal ($AFC) vs Inter Milan ($INTER) Preview: A High-Stakes Champions League Showdown

Tonight, Serie A frontrunners Inter Milan host Premier League leaders Arsenal in a mouthwatering Champions League tie.
For the Gunners, it’s another chance to prove their title credentials: they have won six from six in the Champions League and are already guaranteed a place in the knockout round. Inter, meanwhile, lie sixth and aren’t assured a top-eight finish with two group-stage matches to go.
So, who is the favorite and what’s been happening with their Fan Tokens of late? Let’s jump in.
Arsenal ($AFC) vs Inter Milan ($INTER): Who Wins?
Oddsmakers have made Arsenal 15/8 favorites to win the game, while Inter are 17/10. However, Arsenal’s status as the only Champions League team to go unbeaten so far will be tested, as Inter are on a six-game unbeaten streak and need a positive result to maintain their hopes of a top-eight finish.
Inter Milan lead the head-to-head 2-1, having won their previous encounter in last season’s Champions League by a score of 1-0 (also in Milan). The Italian club went on to make the final, before being hammered by Paris Saint-Germain.
Although Inter are currently sixth in the Champions League, they have lost their last two European ties, going down 2-1 to Atletico Madrid on Nov. 26 and 1-0 to Liverpool on Dec. 9.
While Inter’s recent domestic form has been very good, Arsenal drew Sunday’s Premier League game away to Nottingham Forest, their second consecutive draw in the league.
In short, tonight’s match is likely to be one of fine margins.
Arsenal and Inter Milan Fan Tokens Are Going Strong
While the Arsenal Fan Token ($AFC) is up 4.4% over the last seven days, a consequence of a bonkers weekend in which they dropped points but extended their lead over Manchester City and Aston Villa, the Inter Milan Fan Token ($INTER) is also up 6.8%, after they beat Udinese to stay three points clear in Serie A.
Zooming out, $AFC is up 20.2% since the turn of the year while $INTER’s value increase has been 25.7%. This is a clear reflection of each club’s form, both domestically and in Europe. Oddsmakers currently believe that each will win their domestic league this season.
One thing’s for sure, an impressive display and three points could boost (already strong) Fan Token sentiment even further. All that remains is to see who seizes the opportunity.
