Man City, Arsenal and Tottenham Face Scrappy League One Sides in EFL Cup

Premier League sides Manchester City ($CITY),  Arsenal ($AFC) and Tottenham Hotspur ($SPURS) face potentially easy draws in the EFL Cup tonight as they all go head to head with lower-league opposition, and will be looking to avoid slip ups.

Respective opponents Huddersfield, Port Vale and Doncaster all ply their trade in the third-tier of English football, and each has already overcome higher-league opposition on their way to this round of the cup.

Premier League Teams Face League One Underdogs

Arsenal’s opponents Port Vale come to this match via two 1-0 wins – with one of those over Championship side Birmingham.

Tottenham’s opponents Doncaster thrashed Championship league leaders Middlesbrough 4-0 in the first round draw of the EFL Cup.

City’s opponents Huddersfield have been even more impressive. First they beat former Premiership side Leicester 3-2, then went on to grab a 2-1 away win against Sunderland, who currently sit in 7th in the Premier League.

While the bookies odds won’t reflect the likelihood of either of these League One teams pulling off any surprises tonight, the lottery of the cup combined with the possibility that the Premier League teams play some of their youngsters, the possibility of an upset always remains.

Premier League Fan Tokens Fight Back After Dip

Some of the more well-known Fan Tokens dipped at the start of the week amid a broader blip in the wider cryptocurrency market, with Man City, Arsenal and Tottenham all among them.

The Manchester City Fan Token ($CITY) gained 2.1% in the past 24 hours, climbing from $0.95 up to $0.97, before falling back to the $0.96 range. The $CITY token still attempts to fight its way out of its current dip, but has remained within that $0.95 – $0.97 range for the past day.

The Tottenham Hotspur Fan Token ($SPURS) also gained 2% throughout the course of the day, but has managed to hang on to that growth as of publication time.

The Arsenal Fan Token ($AFC) is technically down 0.15% from the day’s starting point, but has also clawed back 1.36% in the intervening hours.
