Lazio Thrash Genoa to Extend 42% Weekly Fan Token Surge

Lazio’s 3-0 win over Genoa coincided with the ongoing rise of the S.S Lazio Fan Token ($LAZIO) which kickstarted a 42% price surge this week.

Lazio bounced back after a 1-0 loss in the Rome derby last week, which also coincided with the $LAZIO token immediately sinking 12%.

But this weekend’s win reignited Lazio’s season despite a major midfield crisis for manager Mauricio Sarri, and marked the continuation of $LAZIO Fan Token’s 3-month ascendance that’s seen it gain 52% since early July

Lazio Win Extends 42% Gains for Week

The Lazio Fan Token ($LAZIO) began its rise from a spot price of $0.82 on Sept. 26, increasing to a value of $1.17 by the early hours of Monday, Sept. 30.

This marked a 42% increase in the value of $LAZIO in the space of just under four days, although the token price had rescinded to a value of $1.07 by time of writing.

That still leaves the token holding onto 30% of its gains over the time period in question.

The price surge was also accompanied by a huge increase in trading, as the $LAZIO trade volume rose from around $1 million earlier in the week, to over $70 million by time of writing.

Ultimately, looking back at the 3-month view reveals the $LAZIO Fan Token has been on the rise since early June, since which time it has grown by just over 52%.

The $LAZIO token is traded on over 20 exchanges. On Monday, the majority of trading took place on Pionex ($15M), Binance ($22M) Ourbit ($5.7M) and MEXC ($3.8M), among others.

Lazio Win Despite Midfield Crisis Caused by Injuries and Player Suspensions

Lazio currently sit 12th in Serie A after two wins and three losses. When Lazio win, they win big – as evidenced by a 4-0 win over Verona, and this weekend’s 3-0 win over Genoa.

This weekend’s win was achieved with a makeshift midfield that included backup player Toma Basic, who hadn’t played a competitive match in over a year leading into the Genoa match.

Nigerian player Fisayo Dele-Bashiru picked up an injury before the Genoa match which will keep him sidelined for a month.

Meanwhile, Nicolo Rovella is still out with a groin injury, and Matteo Guendouzi is banned for two matches, and Reda Belahyane for one match, after both being sent off.

That leaves Sarri’s midfield almost threadbare for upcoming matches. But if Lazio can approach those matches the same way they did against Genoa, there’s plenty of hope for Lazio and the continued ascent of the $LAZIO Fan Token.
